I thought Zimmerman was the trained MMA fighter.
I did pay attention to the case, especially when a juror said in her opinion, he got away with murder. I guess she didn't pay attention either

The grammar was a lighthearted attempt to lighten thing up, it just fell on you, but it was funny. The broomstick came after you showed fangs but all is good in the world. At least I didn't tell you to suck my dick

As I said, race didn't sway my ideas or opinions.
As much as I dislike Zimmerman, I also dislike Sharpton and Jackson. You don't have to be white to be racist.

again you are just making shit up. There was an eyewitness that Trayvon was raining blows MMA style on him, moments before he was shot.

George had MMA training, PROFESSIONALLY.

George had MMA training, PROFESSIONALLY.

The owner of the mixed-martial arts gym where George Zimmerman worked out testified Monday that Zimmerman’s fighting skills registered at between a “1” and “1.5” on a ten point scale. Adam Pollack, owner of Kokopelli’s Gym, called Zimmerman “nonathletic” and “just physically soft...” He said Zimmerman was “a beginner” and not competent in grappling — a tactic used in mixed-martial arts... Pollack also said that Zimmerman began boxing training but that he never progressed past shadow boxing. “He didn’t know how to really effectively punch.” ~Source

Adam Pollock, a gym owner and a trainer in the mixed martial arts and its component disciplines, testified that he had taught the "physically soft" Zimmerman some elementary grappling, boxing and conditioning classes for about a year... Zimmerman, he said, was diligent in practice, lost weight and got into better shape. But because of his lack of previous athletic prowess, Pollock testified, he only reached about a 1 before ending training in January 2012. He said Zimmerman never became skilled enough to fight in the ring. ~Source

I wonder why no one commented on my post about zimmerman? Was it because i didnt pull the race card?

I think yes, Zimmerman overstepped bounds and was without a doubt guilty of manslaughter. But people got greedy, wanted him convicted of murder. And because of that Zimmerman walks free. Its similar to the Casey Anthony case, sure, she probably killed her daughter, but there was reasonable doubt. What was certwin was she was guilty of child endangerment, and because they triedbto convict her of the bigger crim instead of the sure thing, she walks free.

Edit: Made redundant because Kirata beat me to it, and with much more detail.

Fact is, there's no evidence of George having any actual fighting experience, unlike Trayvon.

I almost fell off my chair but we agree on the abuse of children by gangs.
We may never agree on the Trayvon/Zimmerman events and outcome as we have different beliefs on who should have done what.
I do not allow other people's political beliefs to cloud my own, in my heart of hearts I don't believe that kid should have died.

Unfortunately, the evidence is quite overwhelming, that if George had been able to escape, or if Trayvon had ceased his attack at some point while George was screaming for help for nearly a minute, they'd both likely be alive.

Just as the article gave evidence to Zimmerman fitting in that category. Attacking and reigning blows? Who saw this? Who knows what Zimmerman said to him or is their eyewitness testimony to their conversation? Perhaps as you suggest maybe Trayvon called Zimmerman a cracker, well maybe Zimmerman called Trayvon some choice words of his own. We will never know because we only have George's version of the entire event, dead men can't tell theirs.

Actually there was a witness who saw Martin raining blows on Zimmerman just prior to the shot.

I never said Zimmerman didn't have a right to be in his neighborhood, what I said was if he was concerned after he called 911 he should have waited for the police to handle it. He's not law enforcement, no matter what his duties of neighborhood watch entailed.

Neighborhood watch means just that watch. You don't engage.

Zimmerman didn't engage, Martin did.
Both Zimmerman and the GF said that Zimmerman had lost him, both said it happened
at the same time. Either he lost him and was headed back to his truck as he said. or he
and Martins GF got together and concocted a lie.

Yes, I'm afraid the kid did deserve to die.

He made the darwinian mistake of picking a fight with a man with a gun.

Okay, I thought that the charges and the trial were a dog and pony show right from the start, driven by cherubic pics of a much younger Trayvon taken in happier days and ginned-up hysterics about racism and murder. But your comment is over the top even for me. No, Trayvon didn't "deserve" to die. Frankly, I don't think Zimmerman even wanted to kill him, let alone intended to. And Trayvon didn't know that Zimmerman was armed, so there's no Darwin Award here either.

Two up, two down. You lose.

I agree. Trayvon's actions were certainly what led to his death, but that doesn't mean he deserved to die. Just like someone driving well over the speed limit at night who gets into a wreck as a result and dies...he didn't deserve death for speeding, but he caused it.

Fast Reply.

This thread will not make any sense at all for some time. Unmoderated does not mean that we allow permabans free reign now. I expect you will see more of this behavior for some time. This thread and several others were the recipients of meatball surgery in rooting out permabans. I will not be sending anyone letters, but you are missing your posts either because of blacklisting which arenot allowed even under unmoderated threads, or sitewide in any case. Or, simply because and by far, you quoted a post that was pulled, and it was in close proximity to a post that was pulled for other TOS violations. I will admit that I have done a very bad job of it, and there is a great deal of carnage left out here. Please bear with us. I can only apologize, hope that you understand it, and accept it. And that we remember to block, and move on.

The darwin awards have nothing to do with what you know.
Nothing to do with what you wish was true.
All it has to do is did someone make a poor choice that removed him from the gene pool.

I *wish* trayvon were alive.
I *wish* he didn't pick fight with strangers, drink purple drink, attended school.
I *wish* he didn't have an impaired judgement.

IF you push a rock over a cliff it will fall.
Poor life choices have consequences. Do I wish otherwise? Again yes.

A friend of mine was drunk and walked along a train track. He lost a leg.
A friend of mne stopped on a freeway and walked between two cars.. trying to help the driver. His car was rear ended and he lost both legs.

I guess your beef is with the word 'deserve'. I mean it in the sense that actions have consequences.

Brilliant, so a 17 year old walking home from the store being chased by a creepy old man at night is not going to be freaked the F out. Yea, that happens on this planet, LOL.

Unh, wrong. They are awarded for outstanding stupidity, and have everything to do with what anyone possessed of more than two brains cells should have known.

Thinking he was drinking alcohol, Gary picked up a salsa jar and took a swig of gasoline. After spitting it up onto his clothing, he recovered from the shock by lighting a cigarette...

Mechanic Sérgio A. Rosa, 49, was welding a gas tanker that, curiously, exploded, sending his remains flying 400 meters through the air...

Unfortunately for you, however, that is not one of the "senses" of the word.

Four up, four down.
