No, the clear preponderance is teabaggers. For example, nobody other than teabaggers (Nazis) are allowed to post flaming, baiting bashing and purely lying posts as an OP and then continue on smirking in their knowing, dishonest asswipe, and say, well you are attacking the messenger, or derailing, or the other false modesty diarrhea they spew, brietbart, boortz, the mail, limbaugh, wnd, zerohedge, and other various and sundry blogging imbeciles who have repeatedly been proven to be ignorant, issueless, factless and shitstirring liars with an extremist terroristic bent.

And there is one in particular that has been treated like they are not one of the old socks, even being defended by a moderator when it is beyond clear that they are. We had that same thing with Arpig, who got a great many thrown off the site all the while being touted by moderators as not who he was.

No apologies or reparations were forthcoming, however.

Yeah, so I have had countless pumpkin papers served on me replete with a torrent of restrictions since those foul and false catamites have appeared.

So everyone thinks their side is being picked on.
Another sign that no one is.

Well the reverse can be said in my case, I get a great many 'lefties' who are writing me from moderation, and not a single rightwinger (although I used to for awhile, until I dissuaded him from his belief that I thought his missives worthy of other than wiping my ass with).

In order of moderations you would be wrong. I have several people who can back me on this.

For those who post here still, the longest or most or collectively longest moderations (in order are):

thompsonx (you would call a leftie)
mnottertail (you would call a leftie)
FirmHandKY (you would call a rightie)
TheHeretic (you would call a rightie)

after that? You think you guys are on moderation? You are just children fucking around.

That the lefties run this section of the forums is a foregone conclusion.

Bullshit and I have the long list of gold letters to prove it.

I'm adding my vote of Bullshit.
If the lefties run this section of the forum, them why have so many of them gone on Mod assisted vacation in the last few months?

I'm curious as to the what lefties have gone on mod assisted vacations? I don't know any. I know half a dozen righties that send me emails because they were banned.

I'm not saying there aren't any, but I am curious.

right off the top of my head....owner has been on vacation a few times but he hasn't come around much lately. Sternskipper, IIRC was also put on mod.

I forgot about stern. Add him to the list of 4 that I emailed.

So we have 5 from the left that have been sent on Mod assisted vacation in the last few months.
How many from the Right side?

The last ones I remember that posted much were Sanity and MSLA and that was well over a year ago.

The lefties didn't like it. It had to go. Fuck any claims of non-bias.

E-mails to discuss this have gone ignored for two months.

Yeah, I do have to agree this is a pretty egregious abuse of moderator discretion.

Mods are here to enforce the rules. People can show bruises, beatings, whips, chains - but political speach where you dressed as trayvon martin is not allowed?

We have rules about free speech in society exactly to protect unpopular speech. Popular speech doesn't need protection.

Actually, Ron, from memory, I've only been on moderation once and that was back in the Mod21 days, for a week (I think).

I've been mostly absent lately because of other things going on in my life. And, honestly, because of my disgust at some posters on both sides of the aisle who simply had no interest in anything other than doing their best to taut their superiority of beliefs and their use of passive aggressive bullying.

It's the passive aggressive crap that pisses me off the most, and it is a thing that is very difficult to moderate.

I've no real complaints about moderation, though. I disagree sometimes, and would do some things differently but recognize that the line is diffuse and we only see a small part of a situation.

You're absolutely correct. It came right from the top which only underscores my point.

I got banned completely right at the end of Mod XI's reign of terror. I know when she was "retired" that a bunch of banned people, mostly libs, were invited back. And of course that brought back the beloved Domiguy who must have the longest moderation record going.

This isn't happening.

That's a lie. And the practice is getting more common, and ever more blatant.

Claiming that a thread about an ideological wing in the forum is the same as singling out an individual?

Deleting a thread and prohibiting the subject from P&R, when those who turn every tragedy involving a firearm into a smear of all gun owner have a mass murderer who used a bus shoved back at them?

Shark jump. Ain't buying it.

when you post about a bus accident, without any inkling that the driver was a "mass murderer" just because people shouted out to him stop(as was only known at the time) and likening dead people to a joke, if you expect to get treated kindly, NOT.
I said what I thought and meant it....It was a lousy thread and post, and was a piss take over dead people, NOT funny, no one has made a joke like that about ANY of the gun murder victims. and to pretend otherwise is to violate facts in every convoluted way
Aggressive agressive bullshit gets called on . Oh and by the way, I had nothing to do with it being closed.

Well since we are just talking freely…I would propose that the report feature be limited to only direct threats of violence and child porn.

I am all for the moderators stepping in as they review threads and if they see TOS being violated then disciplining as needed. But too many people use the report feature as a weapon when they are unable to keep up and defend their position intellectually.

The experiment of low moderation awhile back worked just fine and the thread was one of the most interesting we have had. We should have more of that and less squabbling over what is attacking a poster and what is defending a position

I believe the report button should be removed from the post box and all complaints should be posted publicly in a moderator thread at the top of the room. I think it only fair that who ever makes a complaint should be willing to stand by their complaint and it should be posted for all to see...even the one the complaint is against.

Butch

Many have asked for P&R to be completely unmoderatedbut that would require a slight abdication of control and that's just not going to happen.

I agree that there are certain things (bestiality, child porn, and credible personal threats) that should be moderated for the sake of the site but, if you think that you're ever going to see a relaxation of the stranglehold that goes on here in order to "craft an over-all message", you've got another think coming.

DS,you claim lefty passive aggressives reported your av.
yet you have no clue who reported you, you have zero proof, just your feelings.
I didnt, I wasnt surprised by the av, but didnt report it. It was a fair representation of how I see you.
Few people who get their posts reported and moan about it, think their posts are the problem.
