James "Chris" Christie would be the "best bet" for the GOP. However he turned down a chance to run for Presidential race in 2012. The far right would see him as a liberal and the NRA would not support him due his time as a Federal Prosecutor getting convictions on arms dealers. Rick Perry of Texas did attempt a run for the Presidency in 2012 but shot himself in the foot so many times he dropped out. Then consider the Women's vote and he more then likely will not even get his own wife to vote for him.

I'm not familiar with the guy, but if he's how you say - remember how Jon Huntsman did in 2012? He was a moderate, articulate, practical guy that seemed to have a nuanced understanding of world politics. I think he really would've had a good shot at the Presidency, if he's been the nominee, and I think could've been good at the job. But he never gained any traction with the partisan hardliners.

At the end of the day, the GOP is hurting and going by way of the wig. They simply cant sustain their current model, they're too much like democrats, only theypray before meals. Lol DD's (dingleberry democrats) as my Husband calls them would elect a ham sandwich as long as it has a D in front of their name. Hillary has accomplished nothing, outside of being a liar, which she started perfecting her skills back durin watergate and of course most recently Bengahzi. Theres two halves to the GOP... Neocons who will want a Santorum, Christy or Ryan. Then theres the more Libertarian wing of GOP, who will want someone to pull back the illegal power the federal government has assumed. Rand Amash Cruz and Jibdal are in same boat... Cruzs dad was born in cuba but I suppose media could blank that out and if anyone questioned it, theyd be racist. But, thats doable!! ;) Again, Jindal is in the same boat. Gary Johnson may try again The changes Mitt made from republican convention make it near impossible for a populace pick to come out of the process... thats why again you'll hear me say theres no difference between parties.
