Hell's bells - is this politically correct 'guns just must always be the right answer' thing as far as we can get on this forum?

Fuck political correctness, eh? Isn't it time right wing America moved beyond its tired old politically-correct shit and towards a real world answer?

Arm everyone, so the honcho at Interpol said.

Didn't you mean the British and Canadian positions?

I only have one thing to say to Peon,

Arm The British !!

Oh FFS, not that old fucking chestnut again!!!

I say DISarm the Americans. Maybe they'll stop shooting each other and killing innocent people.
Actually, no.
Let them obliterate each other then we can start again and repopulate the Americas!

Ship American criminals to England.

I hate to have to be the one to tell you this, but Breaking Bad was a drama series, not a documentary.

Oh yeah, I agree with that one!
Get your crims all tooled up and raring to go and they'd obliterate more Americans than any Brit army ever could.
Let them do all the grunt and legwork for us.

Seems a damned good solution to me.

Never seen it, never wanted to.
Earlier in this thread I posted were a family of five were murdered with a butcher knife in NYC and yet another WWII was beaten to death.
Our bad guys can figure out that knife vs nothing is a much bigger edge than gun vs gun

Exactly!!  We figured that out decades ago.
Why do you think we abolished public gun ownership in the 20's??

Seventy percent of the people in jail in the u.s. are in jail for drug related crimes.

This wriggling cracks me up.

OK, here we go again:

I haven't seen anybody comment on how spectacularly low in rape rates the USA is as a result of the prevalence of gun ownership - as opposed to more primitive and less enlightened and civilised countries in, say, Europe, where gun ownership is much lower. Why is this?

I'm sure American gun fans here will be only too eager to show how gun-ownership in their excellent society has led to a relatively minute rate of rapes as compared to other First World countries. Why have they been too modest to demonstrate this fact so far?

Did you just agree that your criminals are dumber than ours or that you deliberately increased their advantage.
Both make you look bad.

This comment is less than fair, because the USA is more like Europe with a collection of smallish countries conjoined. In the USA, those country-lets are 'states'. They have separate laws for everything.

When you look at a country such as Holland, you can practically fit it INSIDE Texas. regulating what makes someone WANT a gin, and helping them develop into a person whom would never want to USE a gun, is EASY in a place that is less than 15% of the size of the continental USA. And in such a European nation, for the most part, the cultures and laws will be the same. Swedish Laws are Swedish Laws, and different to laws elsewhere. So you can take a place like Holland and in 20 years you can make a noteworthy, PRAGMATIC change. Asking the USA to do that nationwide is as unreasonable and half-assed, half-cocked an idea as expecting Belarus (still ruled by a despot) and the Oligarchies of Russia to suddenly become equally civilized and less assault-inclined because Holland decided to be so, to be more noble.

less assault does not come by dint of more gun control, it comes by dint of the fact that you can take a country like Holland or Finland or Iceland, and due to their TINY size, and the fact that their cultures are relatively uniform, you can effect an overall society which is more pro-empathy and intellect, and less 'rah rah, go team Meathead'.

before guns existed, the root of most violence is Meatheads. Take away the guns, you will still have violence, mostly always initiated by MEATHEADS.

If you provide an incentive to a populace to think more, bash less, read more, "Johnny Knoxville less", you will reduce the violence. The gun ownership and sexual assaults are symptoms of the Elephant In The Room Disease, and that disease has a name: MEATHEADS.

It seems that comments are now going beyond thread drift and banter. The amount of tickets we are receiving from various people and political affiliations also confirms this. If you wish to continue this discussion you may do so in the unmoderated Gun Control topic found HERE.

Thank you for making CollarMe a better place,
