nah, them old horsedrawn didnt have any wood on them but the pittman arm so you didnt bust the whole sickle if you caught iron somehow, and that is a simple measurement saw a chunk of wood and drill the bolt holes, (use bolts in those, not rivets, pour oil on the blades and sickle (used car oil works good) and they rarely had broken parts they were pretty heavy made, them old steel wheel jobs. You will probably see dried grease all over the ground drive box, that old heavy grease is not hard to come by. The horses were retired when the old man got a tractor, and used it to haul them bitches in the woods. might have to learn to rivet, but you can get them at farm stores, use a couple ball peens is good. It aint hard to fix them if you got some ability, dont need much, and they can run looser than hell, no problem there.
