no no, rather i'm referring to something you've actually tried and decided is only going to be hot in your head.

I probably shouldn't have done that in mid summer. There was an odor involved due to heat, closely confined sweat, and no aeration. Maybe I should try that again sometime. Sometime when it isn't 90 degrees in the shade.

If I may be so bold: it's probably poor technique. During the process of tying there should be rope slithering all over the subs body, constantly tickling.

Of course it can get a little old if you use rope is just too fricking long that it takes hours to draw a single loop through. I've made that mistake in the past. :-(

On the other hand, if all the knots are tied just right every movement you make will, um, jiggle in all the right places.

It takes a little practice and a lot of reading to know precisely how to do that though. A rope dress takes some time to tie but if I put this one knot, in just the right place, you'd be in waves of bliss just to be sent to clean the floor.

That's assuming that you like being restrained.

I do like restraint- but my top hadn't had much rope experience, so I'm sure there is some truth to what you say. However- I'm not a small girl either and I think rope might just be better on a different canvas as well?

Status: offline 		In the early days of my exploration into bdsm I volunteered to be a rope bottom for a workshop. I thought it would be hot...it was, but not in the right way.

Apart from being bored half to death while I was being tied up, about 10 minutes into the process my skin started to feel warm. I thought it was some kind of emotional/physical response to rope and the restriction. It continued to get hot and a bit uncomfortable...and after a further 10 minutes I had to ask for the rope to be removed because I wasn't feeling too well.

Turns out I was allergic to something in or on the rope, and I ended up with raised welts everywhere the rope had been. Fortunately I had antihistamines at hand and the reaction didn't get bad enough to need medical attention, but that was enough to persuade me that shibari wasn't really 'my thing'
