I DO have psoriasis but I keep it under control with healthy eating, meds, keeping away from stress, etc...except right now I had a bad case of it on my hands which the meds are not helping with at all so now I have to go back to the dr for most likely Humira injections.

Is it a dealbreaker right now? No because it's normally in remission. Was for 10 years before he met me and only started the outbreak this year.

Now had when he met me, I had an outbreak I can guarantee he wouldn't have wanted anything to do with me. If it continues to get bad to the point I had it as a child where it's uncontrollable again, I wouldn't blame him for leaving. I would leave too! Thankfully today there are many other meds on the markets to keep it under control. When I was a child, those didn't exist.

That's why stuff like that doesn't matter to me....and why such judgements do bother me. Do you think you are the same basic core person....same intelligence, sense of humor, core values, beliefs, temperment, and interests you would be if you didn't have psoriasis?

^^^^^^ [sm=threadhijack.gif] <==== Sorry about that......ummm....what were we talking about?

No, actually. I can safely say that when I'm in remission and when I'm flaring up, it's like I'm two separate people. When I'm in remission, I'm happy, I have no temperament whatsoever, I'm relaxed, not stressed, my beliefs are much more positive about people, etc....

But when I flare up, my depression gets worse. I'm stressed to the max, I am in pain so my temperament flares up as well. Everything everyone does is annoying and I'm a bit bitchy because I can't think from the pain. People annoy me to hell. Everything they do will make me think less of them, probably because I get tired of people looking at me like I'm contagious or something.

OK, I was confused about why my name tied into a tirade about monetary exchanges, thanks for clearing that up. Almost your entire paragragh referred to expenses so I had NO idea where you were going with that one.
I like clarity, thanks for providing it. :)

No sweat. I misunderstood you the other day re trophy wives, so it happens.
I sometimes suffer from this: <Soapbox Disorder> [sm=soapbox.gif]

(Or it could be I'm suffering from withdrawal, as in missing the "/s" in my D/s at present.... Yes, dear subbies, we can't function right without you. [:(] )

Just a thought on the "fat" issue...

Body type fashions change and cycle over the years. I think what we are seeing more and more today is the return of the titless waif look that was popular in the 1920s.
Compare your average fashion rag to the portraits of beauties by Rubens or even photographs of pin-up models from the 1950s. Heck, some of the classic beauties from the 1950s are "obese" by current medical doggerel.

It's all fashion and I've let my subscription run out on that. Looks may get the attention for a moment but it is what is between the ears that keeps it.

You mentioned changes in your temperment...do any of the other things I mentioned change too?

I can understand leaving someone if their temperment changes to the point that it doesn't look like it will ever change back....and they just push away the people they know love them and just want to help them. What I would never understand would be someone who left just because they couldn't tolerate how your hands LOOKED.

To leave someone just because of a changed physical attribute makes no sense to me at all.

When I have a flare-up, I get stupid because I can't think because of the pain. I have almost no sense of humor, again from the pain. While my core values and beliefs don't necessarily change, I do become a much meaner person. I don't see anything at all positive about the human race, usually because I get tired of being looked at like I'm contagious or I'm a leper.

Oh and my interests in anything tend to wain because I stay locked up in the house when I'm not having to go out for work. Plus when it flares up I can't do anything. Even holding a pen hurts like hell. I usually have to have Master help me with things at that point.

Thankfully we've been together for so many years now that he knows this is temporary. It's a flare up. Eventually it will go away and go back into remission again for who knows how long or short a time. So far he's been able to tolerate it but if it ever comes back like I had it when I was much younger, I would probably beg him to go away if he didn't leave on his own. I would not put anyone through having to look at me like that.

Wouldn't you become a meaner person even more so because he is treating you like a leper?

littlewonder -> RE: what traits do you think are annoying in submissives? (2/8/2014 9:44:37 PM)

Master doesn't treat me as a leper. Other people do. He is trying to help me get through this for both his sake and mine. This is something that happened after we have been together for about 8 years now. But had I not been in remission and was having flare ups when he first met me, there's no doubt about it that he would have had zero interest in me. Then again, if I was having a flare up at that time, there's no way in hell I would have been going out to meet men and dating. I would had not even put myself out there.

When I was single, anytime I was going through difficulties in my life, I had put off seeking a relationship or anything else. I was too busy concentrating on getting myself well again.

Leaving someone because you don't like the looks of a physical condition (that they hardly have any control over and is making them undoubtedly more miserable than you), seems to me, is how one would treat a leper.

But I kinda get what you're saying since your physical condition comes with personality changes. I guess. I just am not the kind of person to leave someone in their lowest moments, despite them not being physically appealing to me in that moment, and will fully admit I think that's shallow.

I knew I was born in the wrong decade. I should have been around in the 30's!

And Rubens would have loved me.

Hello OP,

This is, honestly, without an ounce of snark...

The traits that I find unattractive in submissives are exactly the same as the traits that I find unattractive in anyone else.

littlewonder -> RE: what traits do you think are annoying in submissives? (2/8/2014 11:36:54 PM)

well I'll be the first to admit that I am shallow. I don't see that as a negative thing though like others do.

Girls who misbehave just to get punished kill me. I have released my fair share of annoying little girls over the years. I realize that this is some people's cup of tea, but it is not mine.

For example, I was watching TV on the couch with a girl I had under consideration. She kept grabbing my nipple. I told her three of four times to stop. Then I had to beat her ass and make her sit in the corner for an hour. If a woman wants me to be rough on her physically, begging is a much better way to get what you want than being annoying. If you're annoying I guarantee that none of us are going to enjoy the beating that ensues.

Sure sounds like you got rough on her when she annoyed... If she was looking for a little spanky spanky, sounds to me like you gave her exactly what she wanted...

And by the way, Bub... she had YOU under consideration as well. Just a thought.
