So the massive borrow and spend does not debase our currency?  Ok, waltz me thru that one, because nutsackers are fiscal irresponsibility on steroids, have been since Eisenhower.

Okay, I wont argue that, but what about the facts that he has:

1) Screwed up health care reform so badly that it is going to take a health care reform law to fix the health care reform law?
2) Has used drone strikes to eliminate enemies of the US (not to mention the unimportant innocent bystanders when the attacks were way off target) more than any other president in history, and this includes a drone strike on a US Citizen without due process, and now is debating on doing it again?
3) Has yet to close Gitmo detention center, like he promised in his first campaign?

And those are just the high points.

Oh good, so that makes the stimulas ok. And yes, democrats along with republicans, but mostly democrats are fiscal irresponsibility on steroids, have been since Eisenhower.

I said five years ago that the repubs dont want the country on its feet, while Obama is prez, they have proven that time after time after time. Not one of them has the ability, strength or foresight to tackle any issue, let alone running the country.
The majority of rational ones I know are ashamed of the antics by their "leaders", theres not that many of them, the rest of them just go for the throat of their demons.
they divided themselves from the rest of the country with their hatred of obama.
I hear Oily Taint is running again
oh this is gonna be fun

After Obama/Soetoro/Soebarkah, or whatever else his real name might be, gave the Keynote Address at the 2004 DNC Convention I began researching whence he came and, based upon what I began finding out about him, I began saying that he despises this country. He has proven me correct.

slvemike4u -> RE: Reality vs. Republicans (2/24/2014 3:39:09 PM)

Wow...what foresight you exhibited there
We ought to start calling you "nostradamus " or something ,eh ?

Sure you did. You decided that he wasn't from the US based on a patriotic speech about uniting the country...

Getting back to the reality of jobs...

Lets see, in a town of limited job opportunities too firms announced layoffs, PepsiCo and Ringo Drilling.

Alright president Obama, what are you going to do to get these people jobs in their hometown in the near future?

Yes there has been job growth in some markets, and indeed it is a net positive in the over all picture, however, in other markets, job loss exceeds job gains.

Fiscal responsibility is a slogan that by itself does not mean much. Since Obama took office (actually GWB ran the same policies in smaller scale) the economists have been describing the administration/Federal Reserve policies as giving blood transfusion to a corpse or treating a drug addict with heroin.
The economic parameters have not improved at all. The GDP growth and the jobless figures the government presents are from fantasy world running bogus accounting.
The truth is the economy has structural problems: money does not move into right places. It has been the case since 2000. The current Fed QE carry-trade. and the imbalances it creates worldwide, illustrates the point. There are no reasons to invest into the current US economy. Of course. the government knows it; it is obvious to everyone. It is not a partisan issue. Is this the destruction by design we are going through?

PS: I like G. Celente essay: "The Death of American Spirit". Largely, the problems are related to a large decline in a spiritual sphere.

Our 401(k) plan is back from the ashes as is our stock portfolio and job security.

jlf1961 -> RE: Reality vs. Republicans (2/24/2014 7:36:40 PM)

Name one politician of either party who is firmly grounded in Reality.

Tkman117 -> RE: Reality vs. Republicans (2/24/2014 7:54:51 PM)

Well the Republicans don't have one to start [:D] I'd say Elizabeth Warren is pretty grounded personally

Edit: Actually, if there is a grounded republican I'd personally say it was John McCain. He's pretty logical compared to most imo

If they're currently in office, then it would seem they know enough about reality to get elected. As for the voters who elected them, who knows what reality looks like to them?

Lucy, I have come to realize conservatives/Republicans don't as a rule like to go by facts.
They like to parrot what other conservatives say (some not even politicians, but conservative musicians, radio hosts and the like). They will try to change subjects on you, resort to name calling, and spill ridiculous beliefs of theirs on you. One thing I am learning? If you are able to make your point on a FOX news link. (rare but I have seen some), they are more apt to believe your statement is credible or that you are "doing better" lol

And the same can be said about the liberals so what's your point?
