That would be post #114, Bama. The judge is also giving the opposing folks 180 days to get their appeal filed.

Just in the interest of helping people understand what it means, it's been about a year since the "good cause" requirement for a CCW was overturned in court. If you visit the LA County Sheriff's website, you'll learn that they are studying the ruling, but absolutely nothing is changed by it.

Hell, my county is pretty much "shall issue" and they tell you it will take about 4 months to get the initial paperwork processed.

Ok I had forgotten. Here the first permit takes about 2 weeks.

Geeze Bama, I go to the gun range and have a night of kinky fun and you let all the Europeans come in and shit all over the place... :( Im so Disappointed in you, you were left in charge :P

Theres no point in comparing how life is in say Italy or the UK in comparison to the US...

One actually has a working government *loosely* thats based on freedom, and the other needs bailed out repeatedly of its troubles because they cant defend themselves when bad people amass power.... germany, russia....

But ya know our gun loving ways are just the reason why Europe is such a nicer place to live then the US... I mean its barbaric over here... We have the highest crime rates of a civilized country in the world... Oh... Wait... We dont....

Seeing as Europe has a higher violent crime per capita rate, perhaps the whole no gun things really a poor idea...

It seems like every January 1 and July 1, some new firearm restriction takes effect out here in California. How's this for reducing gun violence?

http://www.latimes.com/local/lanow/la-me-ln-man-held-in-lancaster-bow-and-arrow-killing-20140823-story.html

A 23-year-old Lancaster resident was arrested Saturday on suspicion of killing a man with a bow and arrow after the victim tried to break up an argument, sheriff deputies said.

At least the neighbors weren't awakened by a gunshot in the. night...

But really.....automatic or not....these bows just AREN'T very efficient and they don't do what really needs to be done. Think about how less effective Cho would have been at Virginia Tech if he had tried to shoot arrows through all the classroom doors. He made the right choice to accomplish his goal. If he had been using a bow, he might have only killed 10 or 12 people instead of 32. Smart man.

Yes, mention a mass shooting to play on sympathy and prove that yes Virgina, you are an idiot.... *eye roll* The point isnt bows are bad... the point is you remove weapon A.... people kill with weapon B.... People arent going to magically star in a musical with rainbows and puppydog tails... and love everyone for ever and ever and ever and ever....

People are still going to kill people, and remove a gun, they will use a knife, remove a knife, they will use a bow, remove the bow they will use a rock... a plastic bag...a belt,,, a piece of dental floss... or illegally use the weapons that were removed...

Yes they will, if only Jack the Ripper hadn't had a gun whoops bad example
Boston strangler no Jeffery Dahmer John Wayne Gacy Ted Bundy oh well you get the point.

It also took Jack, Gacy, Dahmer, Bundy....months/YEARS to kill all those people.....they didn't do it in a matter of minutes or just a couple of hours.

Your right, I'm sorry but there were four of them and only one of me.
I felt like I had to kinda take it easy on them to make it a fair fight.

but months and years is so much better then a few seconds I mean the loss of life over years that doesnt matter because on that tuesday in july they killed no one while some person with a gun killed a whole 4 people [8|]

Seriously, the loss of life sucks... but dont degrade the lives of people who were TORTURED in ways youd fucking piss your pants just thinking about because they wernt killed by a gun....I mean the Jigsaw killer is a perfect example of why people need guns...

Why do you have to make the lives of people who die in ways that arent guns, worthless.... thats some sick fucking shit right there... Do they teach you that in Delaware?

But they killed more people than any "mass murderer" in the US. Of course at least Norway has a really big one.
There are more serial killers than "mass murderers" and they take longer to catch. So they kill more people, do it far more cruelly, many like Scorpio are never caught but your are right much better to torture 40 people to death and eat them than to shoot 10 in one day.

You are really dense. I understood exactly what he said. We should get civilized and do it like you do. I don't care how you do it, if you don't like the way we do things don't move here.

And that's exactly the reason I didn't! [:D]

Even O'Bama commented "Only in America..." and only the pro-gun Americans perpetuating this nonsense just can't see the disconnect.

Yes I can, Obama is totally disconnected, he has stated that America is fundamentally flawed and needs to be changed. Your arrogance leads you to believe that disagreeing with you implies inability to comprehend, no it just means I disagree. Btw thanks for not moving here, now mind your own business.

The President is pretty well connected. Do you have access to the Pentagon? NORAD? 11 Carrier Fleets? The FBI? CIA? NSA? US Marshals? Secret Service? The President could call any Governor in any state within five minutes if he wanted. He has access to information of just about every kind, and very knowledgeable people on hand or nearby to access for just about what ever issue facing the nation. And a good chunk of the nation actually likes the guy.

Compared to you, the man is very well connected. An yes, America has its flaws. Every nation has its flaws. Some are shared with the nation and others are not. It makes for a good nation to recognize its flaws and work towards removing or mitigating them; rather than just ignoring and hoping they disappear on their own.

Now if your going to say 'mind your own business' to someone outside the nation, its fair for them to say 'mind yours'. Meaning, you can not open your mouth on anyone's foreign policy (the United States or other nations).

Your REALLY have no idea what a terrorist could do with an actual WMD....

Besides that, history is shown to have many thousands if not tens of thousands killed in vast wars without firearms. Unless your going to have us all believe that Genghis Khan's troops used firearms and not weapons of his time?

I went to a fun store last week I hadn't been in before. I found it very comfortable. Then, a local brought in a guy from Britain to show him a gun store. Everyone was nice to him and chatted nicely to him. Then suddenly he noticed all of the store staff was wearing sidearms. He started to get nervous. I told him I was carrying concealed and probably everyone else in the store was as well. (It's a little piece of Free American in California. But I'm not going to say where because the leftists will try and stamp it out.) When the Brit realized everyone was armed he literally ran from the store with no other words. The leftists train people to fear well in Britain.

lmfao....... Another dopey fucker, you do know we have a Conservative government dont you.

Nah, I didnt think so.

Somehow we keep forgetting that our entire world revolves around how some otherwise insignificant angry little troll living thousands of miles away from us sees things

And yet, conservatives are scared to death of ISIS coming to America and doing something bad to it. If the Drudge Report is to be believed and all....

In fact, I'm sure firearm and related sales have risen due to those threats being made public in the recent days. The conservative media in recent days has been pushing, fear, Fear,....FEAR! A whole pile of conservative politicians and media have been talking about things, all the while bashing President Obama.

I took the time to check that link and it's kind of bullshit, for example he uses scandinavia as example without pointing out it has an expansive offence count, so it doesn't count the number of crimes but the number of criminals, this means if two people assoult a person this will be counted as 2 violent events in scandinavian countries. There is also the problem other country count as violent crimes acts that are not recorded as such in the usa, like battery or for example te crime of violence against the person is wider than simpe assoult. I suspect he also added crimes for european countries outside the EU but than divided it by EU population, but I should investigate more. This means it really is like comparing apples and bananas.

I think you're being unfair on Italy, they have a functioning democracy that serves up the governments they deserve.

Their citizens are even trusted to cross the road pretty much wherever they choose, without fear of arrest, and the government there also allows them to buy pretty much any chocolate they like. So it really isn't fair to lump Italy in with the USA.

But I appreciate that living in a Corporatocracy in which the core set of laws is set in 18th century stone and all but impossible to change must be troublesome at times.

quizzicalkitten -> RE: California's gun restrictions are working! (8/26/2014 8:18:13 AM)

Yes I might be being unfair it might be bias seeing as most of their violent crimes they pin on people not of italy...

And it's the ability to buy any chocolate they want... and their tasty espresso... and its envy that they live in my country of origin and are able to eat for 6 hours and it just be dinner but if I do it I'm just fat :(
