Theyll pass popular items such as a bill mandating approval of the Keystone pipeline

http://finance.yahoo.com/news/keystone-approval-sought-republicans-daring-100000720.html

Theyll repeal the individual Obamacare mandate, the corporate mandate... Dare Obama to sink his popularity even lower

And Obama will take the bait. Clinton worked with the Republicans, and things went swimmingly for him when he did

I am predicting that Obama will hunker down though, and double down on his hate rhetoric

they have repealed Obamacare around 55 times now, repealing it a few more hundred wont make any difference.

"They" being the Senate, in the form of sending a law to the president to sign?

Come on man, THINK

Its thoughtless, they might send dogshit up there (I have yet to see any nutsucker bill that isn't dogshit) and now you think.........he says, get that dogshit out of here. And then what do they do? Think, you studied this in school for about a couple of days, even if you didnt pay attention, this is 3rd grade math.....................THINK.

What are they going to do different now? Oppose Obama? [8|]

There is going to be a lot of talk about Passing the Keystone Pipeline to help lower astronomical gas prices. RNC chairman talks about this pipeline often.

mnottertail -> RE: Republican Wave! (11/5/2014 9:14:02 AM)

But that is how they really are, an overreaching Federal Government who wants to shit out states rights thru Federal Eminent Domain, in another one of their large transfers of wealth from the middle classes to the rich.

I also find it very disturbing the wide spread voter fraud that got them this election. LOL, nutsuckers are pure fuckin cretins.

GoddessManko -> RE: Republican Wave! (11/5/2014 9:23:13 AM)

FR I have never seen people SO happy about NOTHING getting done before. Amazing. Inaction=success. Carry on. [8|]

Legislative inaction due to different views in the House and Senate a is not a bug – it is a feature designed to promote deliberation and limit government action.

mnottertail -> RE: Republican Wave! (11/5/2014 9:40:21 AM)

That feature was not designed in the Framing of the Constitution. Just Sayin.

And that's what Congressional Republicans do best -- nothing.

Yes it was. It is why we have a presidential system and not a parliamentary system. It is also why there is so many veto points that legislation must get through. It is also why we have different election cycles.

He's talking about American law applying to foreign countries, ya nut.

No, it wasn't.

I'm not surprised to see Sanity et al foaming in Righteousness, so they can be discounted, as always. What it comes down to is that old saying about people getting the government they deserve. The people have spoken, now they have to live with it.

I don't have time to teach you reading comprehension.

Quoting someone or typing fast reply are both irrelevant to the point.

kdsub -> RE: Republican Wave! (11/5/2014 12:02:12 PM)

Sanity I would not call the results so much a rejection of Obama but more a predictable mid-term party shift that has happened more often than not throughout history. Take some time and research mid-terms and you will see what I mean.

More important however is what I feel this cycle of adjustments will mean in the up coming Presidential election. If history is followed there will be another shift in two years but less dramatic that may leave the Republicans with a tenuous control of Congress. But I think there is a surprise coming that will dismay many Democrats. Most political prognosticators expect Clinton to run and win and be a balance to the Republican Congress. I believe Clinton will loose against any competent Republican candidate.

Why

I just do not think America is ready for a female President...Democrats will loose some support from Blacks and Hispanics and conservative Democrats will be apprehensive of a female President especially after the disaster of Obama.

I am sure I will take much flack for this prediction but I think it could very well be close to the truth even if racists in many ways.

The result will be an unexpected Republican sweep...and this when many have been predicting the disintegration of the party.

Nope, that is hallucination. I shall leave the demonstration of this as an exercise to the reader.

Good read, read it all, he is the only one who took any in depth notes.

However all these committees (standing committees, the permanent ones) were first begun to be formed in the 1815-1820 time range, and they were not to veto or kill, but to recommend.

And so on.

She's got to win the primary first.

A point she glossed over last time. We'll see whether she's learned anything.

It was an incredible night for Money in politics.

I am not so naive as to think money makes no difference in politics but only in a candidate's ability to broadcast his or hers message and at the same time sling mud at opponents...BUT... The bottom line is the messages in ads right or wrong are designed not to change minds but to get like minded voters to come out to the polls.

SO

You have to realize people... think... approve... and believe... in these messages right or wrong. Just because people think differently than you does not mean money is the reason they voted differently.

Otherwise a majority has spoken and it is time to change minds not fall back on false reasoning for loosing.

Butch

oh I forgot the gullible too

thank you for your comment.

kdsub -> RE: Republican Wave! (11/5/2014 12:56:14 PM)

lol...We, as I agree with your political positions in most cases, just now have minority views. There are of course the gullible but not by the millions...We just have to face up to the fact that more disagree with us than agree and act accordingly.
