Actually, you nitwit ass, I didn't plagiarize you...I gave you proper credit when I said this: in case you aren't aware, the bolded sections are mine. I wouldn't' want to lay claim to the rest of the parroted talking points which do not reflect all of those on the left...just the nut fringe..

Brackets...parentheses...when you're answering from a phone, sometimes what you want to work...works. Sometimes, it does not. The bolded parts were noted as being mine. And given the grammar...or lack thereof...in some of your posts, I don't think I'd pounce too heavy on someone else's errors too hard.

I call bullshit on the premise of the article in the OP. Please name a single republican leader who states the goal of Republican policies is to impoverish the poor. I know that is the standard lefty line, but is a total strawman argument. It is a silly as those on the right who say the goal of the left is to put as many people as possible in poverty to make them dependent on Gov. benefits and a permanent block of Democrat votes.

However if you accept the premise of the article (and again I do not) but IF you do... Obama is not Bush lite, he is Bush on Steroids, and it is hard to see any reason for the Democratic left to support him, except either that he is Black or has a D by his name. (Or both).

Well in the first paragraph, and in the final paragraph.
What other basis could you find for why Obama would be Reagan's hero and Republicans should love him?

If I am misreading your article, what is the basis for saying Obama should be a conservative hero.

And [Member name that isn't on the thread.] is the only progressive I have seen actually criticize Obama on these boards.

And here's a clue....calling Obama "Bush Lite" is not a compliment.

Saying he'd be Reagan's hero isn't a compliment either.

There are plenty on here who claim to be progressives.
But according to the facts in your article, he is bush on steroids. Not Bush light. So you are in fact minimizing his negatives.

Not really a strawman, if one looks at the results of their policies. It's better to look at the results of what they do, not what they actually say about it.

If we're looking at the basic sets of principles which differentiate between "Right" and "Left" in this country, then it's hard to see why either party's rank and file would actually support their party's top leadership.
