Both my Seminole observation and my Aleuts one demonstrate that nothing offensive is needed to go after someone. It also demonstrates that your slippery slope comment is invalid. They are already attacking everyone with a faintly Indian name and only need a precedence to gain ground in those attacks. Is the Vatican suing over the Saints? Is the Audubon Society suing the Cardinals or the Eagles? They have just as much claim, particularly the Vatican.
Did you miss the part were I said I would like for the Redskins to change their name? Bottom line, it is a privately owned business and they can call it what they want to. Again the owners and the supporters of the team have the ultimate say.

Again: People have been going out of their way to be offended by something since the human race began flapping its lips - and will continue to do so as long as the race endures. That's why pointing it out is an irrelevant diversion. The question remains whether this particular term should be abided.
