I am not sure why so many people think you can't be witty and amusing and have fun and show personality unless you're being a brat.  The most common thing I hear from brats suggests that they feel that if they aren't bratty, then they will be repressed, bland, and boring.  So perhaps they are acting out as a way to fight against being ordinary.

There may also be a taste of the "force me" in brats.  They are oh so proud and oh so strong until the ONE comes to them and somehow transforms them into a meek and obedient girl- it is only HIS true power and honor which can tame the wild beast.  It's a form of "do me" and definitely another type that can't reconcile being submissive AND being a full person.

Why adults think it's ok to act like a brat in public I have no idea.  Just because it's kinky doesn't mean it's ok to be rude.

For me, being a brat isn't a positive thing at all, and I don't associate with brats.

I'm a brat, but I don't see it as a negative.  I do my fair share of pouting and  teasing playing and pushing the limits. Fangs just laughs and shakes his head. I've asked plenty of times and he says if I didn't get like this from time to time he would actually be diappointed.

I know the limts that have been set and I don't cross them.  I think that's the difference in "good brat" and a "bad brat".  I know when enough is enough and I stop.

For Fangs and me brat is just a part of what makes us us.

Regardless what the defined word "Brat" or "Bratty" means some have evolved the word to have either a negative or postive connotation.  When people use the term I try to understand what is their connotation in it's use.  It becomes troublesome in that often people use it in both positive or negative manners.  I would say that I am one that uses the words in both a negative connotation as well as a positive connotation.  The negative connotation is more accurate to the recognzied definition of the word.  However, I have often use it in as a similiar context as Playful, Frisky or Frolicky.

To be honest, I am not so concerned of what connotation of the word is used.  I am more concerned that the proper understanding is being communicated when the word is used as is with many words

A pain that some like to work with, but I don't.

Brattiness. Can be cute, if sassiness is what you are talking.

Plain poor behaviior I would question.

Is it a reflection? Have I trained her well enough? Do I listen to her needs when she expresses them respectfully? Have I given her specific behaviorial guidelines to follow?

If none of the above- will she listen to reason? Is she a good slave otherwise?  Any potential to be if this bad behavior halts? Why does she believe she asks this way? Does she admit it, see it?

gentlemen: let's ask ourselves.

In regards
Stanton

imo the term bratty submissive refers to a person who isn't actually submissive, but who might enjoy bottoming or playing the role of submissive from time to time for kicks, and as submission isn't their natural state they easily and frequently revert to unsubmissive behaviors and attitudes...they become "bratty"...selfish, manipulative, pouty, etc.
