ORIGINAL: PeonForHer quote:
Mental health issue. Racist issue. You mean to tell me there is no crime in England? Because I didn't say there would be no crime here but it would get rid of at least 80% of it without infringing on rights. Jeez, Bama. An unhinged fruitcake kid who hates blacks, here, might punch and kick some black kid at a night club so that the kid ends up in hospital. Guns make anger and violence much, *much* easier to express. You *surely* must concede that point. Once, some ten years ago, I was angry enough with someone (my brother, actually) to want to do any amount of damage I could to him. It was so visceral: my whole body felt like it wanted him dead. He suddenly became a thing that everything in me said 'this foul thing should not be on the planet any more'. But all I had to hand in the way of weapons was my fists. I remember that feeling, to this day - with horror, I'll freely admit. But my bro, loathsome turd that I still firmly believe him to be, is still alive. He got a lot of bruises and torn clothes ... the average man would probably get more damaged in a rugby match than he did, then. Does that line of thought mean nothing to you? Guns make damaging and killing people *too easy*. You don't know our thugs, we had a man here beaten to death with bricks. I'm not English, so I don't know about your thugs, you don't know about ours. Really can't you see that our problems are drug gangs? Can't you see that as legitimate gun owner ship has gone up crime has gone down? Don't you comprehend that English gun laws are UNCONSTITUTIONAL here?

Government ranges from a necessary evil to an intolerable one. Thomas Paine People don't believe they can defend themselves because they have guns, they have guns because they believe they can defend themselves.
