Good idea... lets give the kids machine guns... that will stop these nuts.... oh oh and 12 weeks of army boot training before real school the important stuff you know.

Butch

Again you are misinterpreting what I said.
First off you are ignoring the fact that I never said the students should be armed.
Second while you are correct that the 18-19 year olds in the military get special training but that has no bearing on whether they can be trusted with firearms. Besides a person of that age can't legally own a handgun, let alone get a ccw. Why do you keep tring to convince me that the students shouldn't be armed when I never said they should, I expect better from you.

Update:

The shooter at Umpqua Community College on Thursday asked people to state their religion and then started firing, one student said. Kortney Moore, an 18-year-old, told the News Review she was sitting in her writing class when a bullet blasted through the window. She saw her teacher shot in the head then noticed that the shooter was in the classroom. Moore said the shooter told people to get on the ground. He then asked people to stand up and state their religion but started firing anywhere. She was on the ground next to people who'd been shot. At least 13 people have been killed, according to several sources.

Obama had his anti gun speach ready and gave it before they even knew how many people were shot.
But don't worry, that isn't making political hay out of a tragedy.

Depends on who got shot?

You keep saying to wait for the facts. I will do so.

Will you?

I'm sure that three or four death difference tottally derails his point that this sort of thing happens far too often in this counrty compared to most of our civilized allied countries ...

But you're totally right,I'm sure it makes a huge difference if this shooter shot 10 or 13 or 20 or even 8 people...

Yeah, cause those other civilized coutries have this sort of thing happen every other month too....

It must be all those ARMED police in the UK keeping them safe,or those vigilant specially trained armed kangaroo's in Australia

Yes, that is why is used the qualifiers of almost and sounds like rather than saying it was. Have you repremended Joe for saying that this IS because of weak gun laws?

It doesn't matter how he got the gun, or whether the law he wants to push would have stopped this, what matters is more government control.

I saw a more detailed report, if they said they were Christian he shot them in the head, if they said something else he shot them in the leg, according to this report, which I have seen from two different sources. This is what was messaged by a girl in the school, and I can't see why she would lie.

Alright, once more, one question:

How many people did Timothy McVeigh kill with a gun in Oklahoma City?

Just asking.
