I knew it! I knew it! *Doing the happy dance*
I'm telling you I was gonna boycott the show!
There's very few I like on there, glen is definitely one!

Now that bratty ass kid (jss, or whatever her name is)
Would have been left.

I called the church falling waaaay before it actually did. When the scene would zoom in of the town,
I mentioned any building or structure close to the wall should have come down.

Lucylastic -> RE: The Ultimate Season Six thread for The Walking Dead - Contains spoilers (11/24/2015 6:50:27 AM)

I was right:)

Im all caught up now...I just have to say, I bloody LURVE abraham.
I want to do terrible things to Darryl. For all the good reasons.

Just Survive Somehow's name is Enid. At least this episode revealed where she was running off to with the teenage drama.

I admit, I fell for it for a couple of days. I think I was in shock.

I agree about Abraham. They need to work the term 'mother dick' into the script more often. [8D]

ETA - Did you see all of the buzz about Daryl's arms after last week's episode?

PeonForHer -> RE: The Ultimate Season Six thread for The Walking Dead - Contains spoilers (11/25/2015 2:07:26 AM)

I was so pleased with the latest episode that it actually helped me recover from my dose of flu/tonsillitis/bronchitis/whatever the feck it was. Yay!

camille65 -> RE: The Ultimate Season Six thread for The Walking Dead - Contains spoilers (11/29/2015 7:16:35 PM)

Cliff hangers stress me out, therefore pretty much every episode stresses me out! Yet I keep watching...

A lot of people bitched about the character of Carl while he slowly grew up, for some reason he never bothered me and I actually liked watching him develop. But my god, this new crop of kids? Ugh. They annoy me, each one of them. Enid needs to be tied to a post as zombie fodder (yay me for remembering her name!), Enids little boyfriend whats-his-name needs to be zombie fodder too. Oh and don't forget boy-who-wont-go-downstairs.. yeah just leave him as an appetizer please.

I was surprised at what happened to Mayor Lady (I know, I'm reallllllllllly not good with names lol) and did not expect Carol to do her Carol thing as she did.

Mischonne is so fucking hot. I have a huge crush on her.

LadyPact -> RE: The Ultimate Season Six thread for The Walking Dead - Contains spoilers (11/30/2015 4:29:11 AM)

We were actually out of town yesterday at an event that got us home half an hour into the show, so we waited for the midnight version to start. Nice event but it made our wait just a bit longer.

I thought it was pretty good for the mid-season finale. Deanna's days were numbered from the start. She was patterned after a character named Douglas in the comics who meets his fate is a similar way after Rick and his group show up. (Pretty much the same thing. Rick is better for the job to lead the little community, etc. though some things from the comics didn't make the tv version.) So long Deanna.

I like how many of the characters are scattered, even though they are just trapped in different places throughout the community. (Not counting the three on the road and Glenn and Enid just outside the wall.) We kind of knew that keeping that last Wolf was going to come back and bite Morgan in the ass. Interesting scenes between him and Carol. I don't exactly have high hopes for Denise. If the psycho doesn't kill her, the thousands of walkers will.

How can you folks *not* have a "The Walking Dead" thread? There just have to be some fans among the posters. Even if we are few, those of us who are TWD fans need a little spot on the site to call our own as we have fun with Season Six.

If you're not a TWD fan, it's ok. We'll forgive you. You're more than welcome to come along as we discuss one of our favorite shows. All I ask is that you don't try to ruin the fun for other people. If you don't like the show, that's cool. Just don't go messing with those of us who do.

Since I'm creating this thread, I'm going to ask for a favor. I'm glad to have people participate on it but please keep the 'spoiler' factor in mind. Please avoid putting spoilers in the first few lines of anything you post. We don't want to ruin any episode for other folks who haven't had the chance to see it yet because text in the first few lines appears on the scroll. Thank you.

OK, so die hard fans have seen the season six premiere by now. I have to admit, it wasn't what I expected. I'd have been just as good to see what happened at the 'community meeting' in the moments following Rick shooting porch dick. Instead, we got the quarry and some time jumping in black and white. (A first for TWD.) We're seeing some changes we didn't expect and those will be fun to explore during the season.

What did you think of the season six opener? Are you glued to your seat? What are your TWD thoughts? Is TWD fun for you?

I'm one of those "I don't get it" folks.

Walking dead. Zombies.

Walking Zombies.

Tales of the walking zombies/dead/almost dead/soon to be.

Sorry...never watched the show(s)....never will...

Why would you?

freedomdwarf1 -> RE: The Ultimate Season Six thread for The Walking Dead (11/30/2015 5:24:19 PM)

I'm with Lookie on this one.

Sorry LP, I'm another of those "don't geddit" folks.

Anyone wanna help me watch some paint dry?? [:D]

LadyPact -> RE: The Ultimate Season Six thread for The Walking Dead (11/30/2015 5:36:09 PM)

Ummm... 'Cause it's good. [:-]

vintagedoll -> RE: The Ultimate Season Six thread for The Walking Dead (12/4/2015 7:04:39 PM)

Well was going to share a funny meme of Sam, but will have to fix it the link to embed it.

LadyPact -> RE: The Ultimate Season Six thread for The Walking Dead (12/8/2015 5:20:53 AM)

So, what do you do during the mid-season break of The Walking Dead? Evidently, you go to a con and BITE Norman Reedus.

No kidding. It seems an over zealous fan actually bit him during a photo op with Reedus and former cast member Michael Rooker (Merle). https://www.yahoo.com/celebrity/norman-reedus-bitten-by-walking-dead-fan-who-010716433.html

Lucylastic -> RE: The Ultimate Season Six thread for The Walking Dead (12/8/2015 5:49:14 AM)

I have to stay out of david tennants way, cos Im like that with him, altho bite.......maybe after a while...WEG
As for what I do now that its on hiatus? I watch everything else I have saved up:) I have too many to watch right now to catchup on.
ALtho I am keeping up with this season of "Elementary" and a brit version of "the Frankenstein Chronicles" with Sean Bean.
Have you tried "fear of the walking dead" yet?
Have to admit, Im not watching much of anything right now, work is eating time like no ones business.

bossman777 -> RE: The Ultimate Season Six thread for The Walking Dead (12/8/2015 6:13:09 AM)

What is up with this 'mid season break' ?? I have never seen a show do that before. it's like they are having script/cast issues or something. That, or else they think they're so popular they can treat fans like shit and dribble out the episodes between long breaks...

bossman777 -> RE: The Ultimate Season Six thread for The Walking Dead (12/8/2015 6:19:37 AM)

Yeah, it's pretty stupid I agree. My kids keep asking me questions like:

"If they are dead, how come they need to eat?"
"Why do they need to eat fresh meat? Why can't they eat other zombies?"
"If their bodies have been rotting for 6 years, how can they even move?"
"If their ligaments are not attached to their bones, they wouldn't be able to move."
"How come we don't see any baby zombies?"

I just have to tell them they're smart to ask such logical questions. And remind them it's a stupid show, but fun to watch. :)

I was talking to somebody else about this just the other day. It's actually this neat little trick that has nothing to do with any of the above.

The Walking Dead is one of the most expensive shows to produce on television. (All those walkers aren't cheap or free and the show wouldn't be nearly as fun without the special effects.) For a sixteen episode season, if they ran the thing straight through, they would have to claim the costs in the same financial quarter.

Ah, but they don't. There's this neat little loophole in law that says they don't have to claim the production cost on their financials until the episode actually airs. It doesn't matter that they've really already spent the money. They don't have to count it until fans get to see any particular episode.

By doing this, they don't have to put the lump sum of producing the show all into the same quarter. Only the first eight of the episodes for the last quarter of one year. The second eight episodes fall into others. On paper, this makes the show look less costly to produce than the overall total.

Really smart business plan. Fans hate it but it works. For AMC, it's actually rather brilliant.

LadyPact -> RE: The Ultimate Season Six thread for The Walking Dead (2/11/2016 6:23:59 AM)

We're baaaaccccckkkkk!

OK, we're almost back. It's almost time for the Mid Season Premiere. Sunday night in the USA. Monday night in the UK.

Starting at 9:30 AM EST today, AMC is running every The Walking Dead episode for the entire series from beginning. "No Way Out" will debut in just a few days!

Lucylastic -> RE: The Ultimate Season Six thread for The Walking Dead (2/11/2016 6:42:33 AM)

Yayyyyyyyyyyy

DocStrange -> RE: The Ultimate Season Six thread for The Walking Dead (2/11/2016 10:56:28 AM)

Have not watched it yet. But I may have to set my dvr to record all the episodes so I can skip all those commercials!

ThatDizzyChick -> RE: The Ultimate Season Six thread for The Walking Dead (2/11/2016 11:10:18 AM)

The Fella has been a fan from the get go, but I didn't pay much attention for the first few seasons, I started watching in the middle of the whole Governor debacle and got hooked, so before this season started I watched the part I missed on Netflix to get all caught up.
I am very much looking forward to Sunday, best Valentines ever!
