and the welfare programs of the 1960s which did more damage to the Black family than anything since slavery.

This would be your ignorant unsubstantiated opinion. Worth less than used shit paper.

Well technically there is no way out of it. He calls people stupid and I say smart people do not call others stupid, well it just follows.

If you have a way out of this logical conundrum do tell.

Your problem is obvious.
You are entitled to make up your positions.
You are not entitled to make up definitions.
Some smart people do call stupid people stupid.
I do.
That you do not approve is of no concern to me but perhaps the chaplain might be interested in your sore ass.

I never equated the current concern for disadvantaged people of color with the racism of slave holders. But you clearly did, and projected it onto me. Too bad you're not willing to own your own shit.

You may not have intended to do that or maybe it was just a casual throw away line but it is clearly implicit in your comment. You named no names but perhaps you know of some people who champion social justice for blacks who refer to them as "inferior" and deserved to be painted with the racist brush.

What you call "projection" by me, I call "critical reading." I don't know how else to interpret the statement:

quote:

Similarly, racism can exist in a context where there is a feeling of benevolence toward the unfortunate "inferior" race and a desire to "help" them.

It is quite possible I am wrong so please clarify your meaning for me or give me an example. I would very much appreciate being schooled here.

Regards . .

The connection you see isn't in the words on your screen, it's in you.

Really?

But you clearly did, and projected it onto me. Too bad you're not willing to own your own shit.

You do have a history of making racist comments so it would follow that this was in the same line of thought mr. wordsmith.
You seem to approve of lynching blacks. You once mentioned that not all of those lynched were innocent. That clearly shows that you believe that they 'had it comming 'that there is no need to waste time and money on a trial.
Be a grown up and own your own bigotry.

While this is true, don't expect him to admit it.

Ahh, thanks for your input. However, let it be noted that when i asked for a clarification and/or an example, K resorted to a childish personal comment instead. I guess he was only making stuff up. *shrugs*
