What makes the statement "Trump is Delusional" so funny is the blatant hypocrisy. Dems condemn every GOP president for some of the same fucked up lies and bullshit pulled by their own favored son, and the republican supporters on this board do the same thing to dems.
Regardless of party, they are all lying, cheating, back stabbing, crooked assholes. And the sad fact of life is the majority of Americans cant, wont or even consider accepting the fact.
In fact, the majority of American voters created the very situation we are in by not holding our elected officials in congress or the white house accountable.
For the people, by the people is no longer a description of American government, but for the money, by the money and the people be damned is.
Americans, for the most part believe what ever party propaganda machine they choose to listen to, FOX News or MSNBC and the truth be damned. The truth be told, its all fake news.
Its all bullshit, and the people want it that way.
Trump is not delusional, the American people are.
Bush never wanted to raise taxes and Obama genuinely believed in Obamacare.
Bush didn't lie he just failed to follow through, and what you or even many others personally think of Obamacare isn't objective fact.
Clinton and Nixon lied, but they lied to protect themselves from criminal charges/political nightmares.
Trump is obviously lying about Russia, Flynn, etc... okay, everyone expects that.
It's self-preservation-- anyone would do it.
But what separates lies like the one in the OP from the other, more mainstream lies that politicians tell is that Trump's lies exist solely to protect Trump's own fragile narcissistic ego.
There is no rational purpose in telling everyone that his crowd was the biggest, that he has signed the most laws, that he is the most successful president, that everything is wonderful, that the news is fake, etc.
He doesn't lie to protect himself politically, he doesn't lie to help the party, HE LIES BECAUSE HE IS INSANE.
He lies because he is an infant who cannot accept failures of any kind.
He lies because he needs to be the best, the most successful, the most important.
He doesn't lie like normal people lie-- HE creates entire alternate realities and then talks about them in front of the whole world.
What's even more insane is that he actually has several media outlets who are REPEATING his madness as if it is true.
You need to understand that this isn't about the lying, it's about the INSANITY that is driving the lies.
This thread and others like it are rooted in a totally justifiable anxiety about the fact that a man with a serious personality disorder and zero impulse control is one of the most powerful men on the planet.
I honestly cannot believe that there are still people who, after 2 years of this shit, still think that Trump is just like all the rest.
HE IS MUCH MUCH WORSE.
