Have you seen it?  Did you like it?  What did you think?

I just saw it yesterday, and I'm going to watch it again tomorrow before I send it back to Netflix.  I thought it was very well done, and the acting (especially Heath Ledger) was phenomenal.  I loved it!

I thought it was very tastefully done, and a better movie than I expected it to be.  It dealt with the emotional conflicts of the characters, as well as society's intolerance of homosexuality.

I got joshed around because I watched it.  I thought it was an incredibly good movie in many different aspects.

I had expected the oh this a just a gay movie, but I was taking back about the struggle of human nature as a whole. That it wasn't really about a person being guy.

To me it was about interaction and the need to be with another person regardless of sexual orientation.

I adored the movie, I wanted it to win the Oscar. I loved it so much, I sent in a reader review to the NY Times and it was voted the best out of 273 reviews. I still cry when I think about it.

I haven't seen it yet, but I will. It looks to be a good movie, from the clips I've seen, and from the reviews. Of course, I'll watch it in a manly, heterosexual manner .

I really loved it.  I was also fairly impressed by Heath Ledger's performance - the same week I saw Brokeback, I also saw Casanova in which his character is miles beyond different - someone to watch in future years.

::sigh::  He's not the blond.
Jake plays the "conflicted" partner.  Brunette.  Blue eyes.  yum.

I saw it and thought it was an excellent movie. My sub didn't want to see it. I asked why not? He said he didn't want his childhood memories of cowboys ruined by them being gay. LOL  I thought that was silly and told him not to get his petticoat in a uproar. (yes he was wearing one)

Seriously.
I don't care much for dramas in general.
I can get into the sort of art that screams and rages against the F'd up world. Or ones that delve into the current underlying twisted mess that is our world. But the emotional heart string tugging stuff just leaves Me cold. We all have issues in our lives that are harsh and seeming unfair etc....A movie or book or another brkenhearted song just doesn't do it for Me.

I live in this world and the general BS of it is what I want to vent with, with My fellow humans. The more personal level things, are just that. Personal. No movie or book or song, can quite match My individual sorrows.  Most stories on that level make Me feel a voyuer and unconnected to the plight. Sort of mizery porn.

LOL. Hey, ask him what he thinks the Lone Ranger and Tonto did all that time alone together. "Kemosabe" indeed lol.

I really enjoyed watching this movie and I was no more squicked out watching the sexual scene with Jake and Heath than I would be watching any other sexual scene ie. male/female, female/female etc .... damn there goes my life goal of becoming a voyeur!  I found it interesting that a couple of guys I know totally refused to see this movie because of the gay theme.

I thought it was a fascinating commentary on the world in which I grew up.  The story chronicled the lives of these two men for twenty-odd years, starting in 1963 (I was four).  It was a much different time, then, and I thought it was portrayed beautifully.  I'm not usually a big fan of dramas, either, but this one was well worth seeing.

That, and I've been a Heath Ledger fan ever since "A Knight's Tale" and "10 Things I Hate About You."

i loved the movie. not just because i am a lesbian. but because it showed(s) how life can be for anyone that doesn't fit a mold that is in the 'normal' world. it was a tremendous love story whether it had been about 2 men, women, or one of each...
it was a story that could've happened to any of us that fell in love with anyone that didn't meet a community's or public's agenda as a qualifying norm. and that includes us that love this Life we have found a home in, and a small rfuge in here at Collarme.
sincerely
