The biggest mistake Childress made was signing Brett Favre.

How can you say that? Farve almost lead MN to the Super Bowl and he got the team to the NFC Championship. Who else could have done that, especially at his age working on a new team. That was simply a fantastic year.

BAL had one good year with Steve McNair. It didn't last, but bringing him in was not a mistake. When McNair broke down in year two and was a shell of his former self, Brian Billick was fired after the season. The team went from 13-3 to 5-11.

Its seems like a good time time for Katylied to come here and gloat about the Steelers.

The NFC North is going to be a second half slug fest as CIN-BAL-PITT will be competing for the division title. Not sure that there's another conference with that much talent in it.

Was Happy to see STL win.

Lest anyone forget, the PHIL is explosive.

NE's defense has not been rebuilt to the standards of a Super Bowl contender.

WAS's good start has been erased by the past four games.

DEN is a franchise that looks to have fallen into a black hole, them and MIA.

Larry Fitzgerald is going to waste in AZ.

Cam Newton looks to be the best rookie QB to hit the league since Dan Marino.

Colts have the pole position for Andrew Luck. What happens if the IND is a position to draft him?

Yeah tazzy, the kid is looking great....as long as he gets evaluated as a rookie. What I mean by that is that NFL stands for Not For Long unless you notch wins....this being his rookie year he is being graded on how he looks...that changes next season,at that point he will be evaluated the same way every other qb in the league is graded...wins and losses.

Look what happened to Bradford in his second year but there is little doubt in my mind that Newton is the real thing and the best QB out of college in many years...He will only get better.

I think he is capable of carrying a poor team with just a little more defensive help.

Yeah,I can see Carolina building around him....but that owner is dirt cheap. The NFL's version of free agency just isn't all that "free",especially when compared to baseball. This owner doesn't believe a good coach(Fox) is worth 3 million dollars, we shall see in a few years what he thinks a franchise qb is worth.
Bradford will be alright ,though he certainly took a step back..can anyone say sophomore jinx

He is locked in for 5 years. I dont see him staying past that without at least one winning season.

Well that is the thing,if he is truly a" franchise" QB,that sort of takes care of itself...as long as the franchise stays stable and protects him.
Nothing retards a qb's growth more than a revolving door coaching system....or a pourus line that gets him killed, figuratively speaking of course

As I said before, I don't see Cam staying in Carolina. Provided that he continues to develope he should have a promising carreer baring any injuries.

Seemed to me the only person trying to win last night for Dallas was Demarcus Ware. Honestly, it seemed the cowboys just didn't have a step last night. Credit Philly for shutting down thier offense, and how about that rushing offense for Philly?! Best rush offense crushed the best rush defense, over a hundred yards in the first quarter!

Cincy has very quietly managed to pull off 5 wins against some suspect teams. Note that both of thier losses were by a combined 7 points. Beating Jacksonville is to date, thier best challenge, and they did well winning by 10.

I suspect the majority of hype surrounding the draft is just that, hype. More than likely the colts will take him and deal him for a few picks to another team. The colts have Manning still, and they have a great, great backup that is getting an opportunity to get some in game experience. I suspect they will win 3-4 games the remainder of the season, as he (Painter) has started to develope some chemistry with his team. Anyone notice that his delivery and stance is almost identical to Manning during his drop and release?

I wonder who is gonna break the sack record first Ware or Allen?

One word for Cincy fans: November
Next week vs the Titans could give them another patsy, but then they have in order: Steelers, Ravens, Browns, Steelers. Sure, playing the Browns does give a bit of a break, but they still tend to play the division rivals tough.
