This doesn't address my point at all.

Where did Jesus tell women to be submissive? He didn't. In fact it appears that some women followed meaning they weren't at home taking care of the hubby and having babies.

Other authors may have but they are not him.

Besides all of that is does not eliminate the fact that the ideas aren't Christian, they are patriarchal.

Patriarchy precedes Christian by thousands of years so claiming that having a submissive wife and a dominant huband = Christianity is ignoring historical reality.

If you want to claim something as Christian you should claim something that is truly and uniquely Christian like the belief in Jesus as the son of God or God incarnate -- even there there have been disagreements over the centuries between "Christians".

Stop trying to justify male dominance and female submission with Christianity -- just say you are a patriarch and go to it. Better yet just say you and your wife/girl friend/whatever like it like this.

You don't need religion to explain your dynamics.

If you think you do, that is just so bizarre to me.

Hi All-

I am sorry my apologies I dont know all of the names that gathered on this topic. I am a Christian...But to me- I am striving daily to be Christ Like, however it will never happen, because we all sin. *smiles* I can also relate to the topic of Christian BDSM as well... Although, I am only speaking from my point of view- I have struggled with this..Mainly because there are so many that want or need certain things from this aspect, that I cannot do- therefore for me, the only option is to find someone compatible, for me that I can relish in without having the anxieties. Yes- some of the things i have done while being in BDSM all of my 15 years- some of it was emotionally challenging to me- therefore i am no settling and just waiting....*smiles...Someone mentioned that there really isnt a difference between Christian BDSM- and standard BDSM...for me, I would think, and would like to still carry out the forms of BDSM with a partner in a monogamous relationship....Not with others....The comment about the female being subserivent..Actually, to me this means that I am a help mate to my spouse...He is the head and answers to God for any screw ups. It is not my position to be in charge and tell him what to do and how to run it. it is my duty, to give input when needed, and to help assist in reaching the goal... Please- this is all what *i* believe.....so- dont start throwing fruit at me...*smiles... yes I am strong, I am a strong woman, but without the correct order of the head of household- then it kinda starts to fizzle downward...
As for the writing in the sand.. This is what God told me when I was talking to him...I questioned that also..What he told me was the writing of the sand represented himself when he wrote the Commandments in the tablets for Moses... Well, God was Jesus in form, and when Jesus did that he was trying to show that it is the law, the same law that he had already written to Moses..... I talk to God every day..I get answers, and I am blessed to have seen so many supernatural things happen. Not all are good, but- all in all, i am doing what he wants...He wants a willing- giving heart... I love him...I am like David from Psalms...No matter how bad I screw up, how much damage I do to myself and at times others, I have a love for him...genuine....
