Dear gooddog,

What you state here is an obvious fact. We do not find it repulsive or unpleasant to help other people.

Perhaps, when you have assisted someone out of a suicide mode, and helped them to understand they were taken advantage of, or mind-fucked by a predator player, you too would understand that it is much more than this.

As for taking a sight down, yes I would gain personal satisfaction to take out a site that makes it's money on a lifestyle that it takes no responsibility for.

you seem like an intelligent person, and no, what you say is not untrue. These are simply bi-products of what is necessary to be done.

You have no way of knowing if I am sincere or full of shit. I invite you to view the group's forum and learn more about what The International Core does, if you would like.

I post here, not only as a personal vendetta, because this site does not have regard for people in this lifestyle, but because they look to silence TIC.

As far as people simply leaving the site and not paying for memberships, have you ever done a google search on some common bdsm terms?
There is always an ALT blog or profile that comes up. They spend a huge amount of money trying to attract newbies to the alternative lifestyle, yet do not wish to take any responsibility for those who are to be hurt as a result of such memberships.
As long as there are new members to feed this site, they will remain in business.

I do thank you for your friendly welcome. This is one of the reasons I am here. Overall, the attitude is more open, and more in line with what this lifestyle community should be about.

I actually have some good friends that have had success on alt. They have made some good friends from there real life. I just think it is all about what it is that you are seeking, and the people you are searching for. Every site has the good and the bad. You just have to use your head is all.

I blog on ALT as part of the Guardian team and to provide information and resources for those new to the lifestyle.

I do it to promote Myself, as front runner for TIC, which is to advance the group in the political arena, as well as other aspects of making life better and still legal to those who choose this lifestyle as a way of life.

You can read all of the books you can get your hands on, but without proper mentorship, guidance and sometimes supervision, there are many activities that are dangerous when carried out by an inexperienced individual.
Such acts have serious consequences for the individual(s), but it also puts the rest of the lifestyle participants in a category where they continue to be viewed in a negative light.

As I commented to another earlier, if you are in this lifestyle, and you are not concerned with love or trust, you have far more important issues to deal with than what I am writing about here.

Since you are not familiar with the protocol, I will refrain from commenting to you about this topic. you are posting about a subject you have no prior knowledge of, and are passing judgment.

It is obvious your intention is to mock what is written. you have this right. I am more than familiar with this type of attitude and I will simply leave you to yourself.

As far as monetary gain, yes, there is reason for cynicism here so I will give you this one. Time is the only thing that tells.

Also, it is not very difficult to observe the correct spelling of One's name when replying to them, this is common courtesy, especially during the delivery of an intended insult, which does render you, irrelevant.

I also know individuals who have had success in meeting others on ALT, Myself included, but this is not really My point. I would venture to guess the friends you speak of are females, and there is always that unfair ratio, and the males are the ones whose money they are after.

Thank you. Actually the friends I was speaking of are male and Dominant. They think every site has it's good side and it's bad side. As do I. It is all what you make of it I guess. Though most tend to like this site a little more. As they say they think there are more of your average people here. Which is who they prefer to meet. I think that looks are more important to some people...while I tend to look at the whole package. It is more about how a person is deep down for me anyway. I will admit that someone needs to be attractive to me in order for me to be interested in them. But that is not what I place my money on.

Also what I find attractive...other people may not. But thank you anyway. Beauty is truly in the eye of the beholder. And I would hope that is not the reason anyone would be deeply interested in me. If so, I would avoid them if I knew that.

Who decides the higher standards you allude to?

i've been on a few of the other sites, didn't see anything interesting so i never paid for any of them. i have heard some good and bad about all of them, including CM.

i think you have to use some common sense when dealing with these sites and you will be fine. As far as them not caring or just being in it to make money...well DUH

i would venture to guess most web sites are in it to make money, unless they claim to be non-profit or a charity orginazation, they are supposed to be into it for money. To honestly believe any singles online site is in it for the good of the people, it just silly.

When you go to work, do you do it because it's fun or because you're trying to earn some cash?

I was a member of Alt when it was a total of a few thousand members years ago. One can say the same for Yahoo personals..they were once free also.

Unfortunately bandwidth cost as does the time one spends maintaining it. As something grows one needs to think of the investment and if it is a financial or personal venture.

Some use sponsored ads to help defray costs while others put a membership upfront.

I remember BBS memberships to local sites way before the www (world wide web) and even in the text version of the internet before it went graphical.

I used to belong to ALT but found it very unfriendly. I also belonged to The Slave Register and Informed Consent. I found these good sites (it's where I found my Master). They are both along the same lines as CM but I found the threads seemed to be rather more unfriendly that this site.
