Since we're on a new page, I'll repeat the quartet for us all:

Motorcycle
Record Press
Surfboards
Flowershop

Think like fluffy, He says?

Things that vibrate?

Things you can do naked?

OK, a Surfboard is a brand of MODEM!  Are they all Modems?

All things that you can find in the Yellow Pages?

The phone book counts as media, right?

yes, *sob*  but *sniffle* I am being VERY fwuff-oriented and literal...

fwuffy likes movies, TV shows, musicals, novels, comics, I was trying to do something nice her Majestic Fwuffiness, so it's along those lines...

quick hint secondary:  they will not be contained within one comic, one song, one film, etc.

but they will ALL be media based

I was thinking maybe Keanu Reeves.  He was a surfer in one movie and I believe he had a motorcycle in another.  The only flower shop that comes to mind is My Fair Lady

these will have NOTHING TO DO with any "performers" I CANNOT STAND.

Bananu-Ranu (his nick namehere in Oz), Paris Hootchie, Lindsay Low-Talent Hand Job, NONE of these skanks will have anything to do with this one, if your guess inclusdes them, EXTIRPATE THAT GUESS!

I know this is way out on a limb, but were they all integral elements of Roger Corman films?

like the states one, it's a wee bit more specific than that, however...

spirit of the law outweighs the letter of the law, and so...  Corman is very, very close.

But if  I split hairs, the game shall be wrongfully delayed in its progression, and thus:

we give it to Panda Pando Pandi,

the commonalities were things/sets FEATURED in musicals based on Monster, Horror or Psycho films....

yes, my Flaming Queen is burning bright.

Pandomatic, aim that sub-auto at some commonalities, and FIRE, BOY, FIRE!

Damn! I'm a little surprised. I thought "Little Shop of Horrors" was a strong fit, and "The Wild Angels" almost as solid, but beyond those two, it felt a little tenuous. Pretty damned good one, Senor HiltonHater.

OK, let's keep it in the 60s, and stick with the media-entertainment theme.

Suzy
Bamboo Harvester

I locked on to "Little Shop of Horrors" right away with the flowershop clue, and realized that at least 2 other clues fit at least one other Roger Corman film, "The Wild Angels," in which Peter Fonda demonstrated that his father didn't pass on too much talent in his DNA, and zero ability to pick quality scripts. I took a flyer on the "record press" clue, thinking that might possibly fit a more obscure Roger Corman - Peter Fonda film, but was less certain on that one. Just took a shot in the dark from that point, is all, and apparently got pretty lucky.

the motorcycle was from Rocky Horror, the surfboards from Psycho Beach Party, the flowershop (as you said), record press was from Phantom of the Paradise (since that is a GOOD version of the Phantom, whereas Andrew Lloyd Wanker's version is NOT)...

Damn! I did miss by a mile, then. I figured weird, offbeat films with Corman as the central connection. Either way, it was  a hell of a quad. How's your 60's American trivia?

Okay, okay, I googled the very strange "bamboo harvester" and got Mr.Ed - the horse as an answer. So, I'll just take a flyer <and a dangerous one at that> and say "Horses that played Mr.Ed"

Why "dangerous"? I have no quartet prepared..... arrrrrrrrgggh <as Lance runs off to see what he can find>

I was strongly thinking "pandas eat bamboo, bamboo must be harvested, and WTF does that have to do with 60s?>
