Honey, you obviously missed the "want to be used as a toilet fetish" thread or "where do I get instructions on setting my sub on fire" thread. LOL

Thank you, DelRay for that one.

DreamyLadySnow, I agree there are many that would like to see sites like this go down.  The Globe is a good example of much slamming and beyond the financial burden The Globe faced, the public outcry was far reaching at the opposition of adult content.  Putting some perspective on it, it is whomever cries the loudest that gets heard when the laws are built though; for example anti-smoking campaign in Canada, and the Gay Rights movement.  If we look at whom had the most persistence in those occurances we will also see that there seems to be a direct correlation to whom won their bill of rights.

I think it is a war of freedoms everyone has to continually fight for, and seeing more cases being dismissed in such areanas such as in the lifestyle on the arguement of 'consensual' is a good beginning (with empathise on beginning).  It only takes a few wins to make an arguement moot, as I am lead to believe but will stand corrected if wrong.

I personally believe that alot of undercover trolling however has focus on particular activities.  In Canada there is an focus on ped activity, illegal gun and drug smuggling.  And I do not believe our law enforcement is staffed to focus on ever activity that might be offensive to the general mass, the budget is just not big enough.  But I do know that they have no opposition from taking reports of illegal activities (ped) from the general public and there is actually a specific number that is available in Cow town for such.

The best of the New Year to you.

*smirks* or is that kneel corrected if wrong

The only words that come to my mind is from a song..

Paranoia, paranoia. Everyone's coming to get me ;)

There are alot worse things on the net then collarme or bdsm in general. They would go after the sites that supply the pics as it would be an easy law suit. Easy win.

So stop being paranoid and post.

Also I don't see lite erotica closing its site. The topics there are alot worse then here. People could always use proxies to come to this site. A  proxy change's your ip address and there are many free proxies on the net...

imtempting I am not paranoid, I don't engage in illegal activities as I see them.  'as I see them' being the operative words.

But it is good for people to be aware that perhaps they are not alone when then surf the net, not everyone is net savy or hidden behind a dozen firewalls and detectors.  But then again put a spin on it, and there are some that will pretend they are lawful sorts and use such tactics to lure the innocent into bad situations.

So all in all I think this thread is a good one as a reminder to people, and not a paranoia

I've never had a problem here, well, not with law enforcement anyways, BUT:

I've found numerous "bait" profiles on myspace, yahoo, etc.  Law Enforcement is primarily after child predators, but you'd be surprised how easy it is to innocently come across a bait profile and find yourself on the radar of law enforcement.    I've spoken with someone in law enforcement and their trick is to use ages of 69, 99, 100, etc on their bait profiles.  Remember this: "Did you really think s/he was 99 years old when you saw that profile?"  The hook is at the bottom of said profiles where they claim their "real" age (in near microscopic print), which is of course always far younger than previously stated.

I've seen mentioned on this thread, zealout types that want to out people in the BDSM liftestyle. That again, I havent seen here, but I HAVE had that experience on yahoo, which I wont go near anymore.

Dont believe for a moment that your online persona hasnt come under the scrutiny of some goverment agency at one time or another.  Just stay smart, stay clear of weirdos or people who try to phrase their sentences in an effort to get you to reply in a certain way.

Anyway, thats my two cents worth...

But then you shouldn't be talking illegal nasties with anyone you don't know.

But illegal varies by jurisdiction - for example, pro domming is illegal in Vegas, although legal elsewhere.  And lately there have been a lot of crackdowns on outcall girls (NOT dommes, but girls who advertise on craigslist), so apparently there is bonus year-end money in the law enforcement budgets targeted for "morality" crimes.  This may also apply in other jurisdictions.

<and Ron, I love that song!>

Bluebird:
If I remember correctly even plane ol prostitution is illegal in Las Vegas.  I think the law is that any county with less than 50,000 residents may vote in legal prostitution.  So that would let out Clark county--Las Vegas  and Douglas county --Reno and of course Carson City it is illegal because it is the capital.

The question that always crosses my mind is whether our brave policemen wear their bulletproof vests while impersonating 12 year old girls on the computer in thier den.
