This may have been asked before...

How do you Ladies feel about the fictitious planet of Gor where women are considered less than men, and submissive men are considered less than nothing?

I am having trouble wrapping My head around it.  Perhaps someone can clarify it better for Me so I will be able to understand.

I am not touching this subject.  It's not good to make the Goreans mad.  Trust me on this.

I live on a real planet called Earth. I don't really care about what happens in a galaxy far, far away.

I try not to be judgemental but I just do not get Gor. Maybe I do not understand enough about it or something. In all honesty I do not plan to learn more about it because it honestly doesn't interest me. It works for some and thats good. Do whatever makes you happy I say.

KatyLied: why would talking about it and seeking understanding make them mad?
I have My issues with it, and have voiced them before, but why should we feel censored talking about it?

There have been incidences of flames and deleted threads because of arguments that centered around Gorean philosophy.

Discussing it with them is irritating... I'd just go ahead and read the books.

Karamel
There is a Gorean forum within CollarMe. Perhaps reading and participating in the threads there can answer some of your questions.

Passion,
Those who call themselves Goreans and follow the philosophies of natural order do not beleive they live on a ficticious planet. Perhaps you are confusing real life Gorean with role-players.

LotusSong,
How it is a "guy thing" when many women live by the Gorean philosophies and beleive in natural order?

Where you given a reason why it was deleted?

Unless it violated one of the rules of the forum I honestly don't see the Mod Gods pulling it.

The post was a criticism, and I was told that the Gorean forum wasn't the place for it.  So I ceased and desisted.

my Master and I are Gorean r/pers...this does not mean that W/we live completely by the Gorean philosophy, but a lot of what W/we talk about and do has to do with Gor...yes, this is a fictional planet, but the philosophies are ones that I happen to agree with and enjoy.

From the original post: How do you Ladies feel about the fictitious planet of Gor where women are considered less than men, and submissive men are considered less than nothing?

The post was about a fictional planet called Gor... the Op didn't ask about Goreans. But if you want to start your own thread about a natural order of things... go right ahead. Just make sure your facts are facts & not scribblings from a fictional paperback.

Karamel,
A post being pulled because it of critisism seems odd to me for any forum on CollarMe but I am far from all knowing I simply know the norms and that is not the norm but stranger things have happened.

There are a good number of people who participate within the Gorean forum who are not Gorean. Often times they don't agree totally or at all with the Gorean prospective yet as long as it stays respectful and flaming does not occur on either side.

amor,
There is nothing wrong with role-playing but there is a vast difference between those that role-play gor and those who live the gorean philosophies in real life.

I don't think anything more about it than I do about male dominant/female submissive relationships in general. Or dynamics based on race, religion, or even female supermacy ideals.

Not my thing so why think much about it?

As long as no one pushes their relationship onto me, it really isn't my business either.

I would probably end up in the world of Gor at a young age considering how unaccepting and anti-female that world is. Also it is not real and should not be recreated completly in real life which thank goodness for equality and consentual laws to prevent.

I rather much live in an Amazon world.
