If even ONE BILLION DOLLARS would be sufficient personal motive to defraud the nation into war with Iraq, TWELVE BILLION DOLLARS would! And that makes me wonder how much is REALLY missing!

Who knows where it really is. Too many possibilities. Could be our government, couldn've been someone in the military that got to it on the way over, could have been terrorists, could have been the Iraqis. If they post a good enough reward I'll going money hunting myself. Who wants to form a posse? A team of money tracking mercs, busting heads and tracking receipts.

Oh I have been thinking about the money a lot lately. Many people are struggling, homeless, cold, poor, etc. Budget cuts and we have billions to just lose? People are serving life in prison for stealing less than $1,000.

OK folks try reading a bit more before screaming about it being taxpayer money, the accounts I have read have this as being money that was frozen after the first Gulf War and released to the Iraqi government for the rebuild. This is not to say we should not have better oversight of so much money being transfered but it is THEIR money not OURS. Had it been taxpayer money I can see and would join in the outrage level myself but the reports (including this story down near the bottom if you read far enough) tell me that this was Iraqi money from their oil sales and from formerly frozen accounts. So I'm a bit less outraged.
