Yep, I read it; she wasn't talking to the Opening Poster, but rather railing against the same people he is railing against.
Weight is a touchy topic, and as such it comes up over and over, like abortion on a political debate board. I see valid trains of thought on both sides of the issue, so like abortion, the facts of the issues seem to of less importance than personal feelings.
I weigh about 155 - 160. I have dated women both taller and heavier than I am. I never had trouble finding a woman who is larger than I am attractive. I also enjoy physical activities. I can easily walk 15-20 miles while visiting a new city, I love hiking in the woods, and I love physical challenges of all sorts. It will only make sense that to be compatible with a woman, she would need to meet certain minimal physical abilities; the size of her hips or stomach aren't the issue. It's important to set minimum standards for ourselves, and those standards are completely subjective. A requirement for me is that a women enjoy blues, cats, and "The Godfather." This doesn't mean I think people who hate blues, cats, or Brando aren't worthy of my presence or sub-human; it just means they would probably become unhappy with me in the long run. It also doesn't mean that a woman must meet only those three requirements. People should be very selective when deciding on a new partner (i.e. non-casual friendships/romantic relationships/etc.) Appearance matters to everyone; to what degree is strictly personal taste. Indeed, superficial people are better off with other superficial people, and I welcome them to their pursuit of happiness just like anyone else.
