oh and did i mention i'm EXTREMELY pear shaped? lol

GeekyGirl -> RE: Someone recently mentioned on here how there are many fat women on this site, but what's the prob (2/15/2007 2:26:43 PM)

See, it's all perspective. I never liked the idea of being dainty and delicate (corn-fed country girl here...I think a woman should look stout enough to throw a 100lb bale of hay [:D])

I like the idea of being volupuious and ample and soft (slender people, both men and women) and a turn off to me, because I can't stand feeling someone's bones when they hug/snuggle. Overly muscled-up people are a turn off too because they feel so hard and solid (and uncomfortable) when I hug them.

But that's why we're all different. Thankfully for you, there are men who love small breasts...and thankfully for me, there are men who love my 40Ds :)

I personally am not attracted to women who are pear shaped or to ones who are "athletic" looking. I prefer Marilyn Monroe looking women...hourglass shape :) Like the 50's pin up girls!

To all you big breasted women...My Pa...Domiguy sr. always said.."It's almost impossible to shoot a cannon out of a canoe."

yes, people are attracted to all types, so really none of us are left out. i do find the differences, and the whys and how comes behind those differences,  fascinating tho, guess it's the anthropology student in me. i can understand the appeal in the classic, hourglass, goddess type figure like marilyn monroe, i can understand intellectually how one could find that type soft and comforting. but for some reason (maybe it's the combination of the subbie and the sexist in me) i've always found the small, delicate, too weak to hold a hammer, small enough to be tossed to an fro, type to be more of my own ideal of femininity. and for the same reason i love muscular men...the hardness and the strength, making me feel that much smaller and weaker in comparison. think of those old movies with the tiny woman in corsets, fainting every 2 minutes, and the big hulking man shaking her silly and throwing her over his shoulder. goofy yes, but appealing somehow.

although i will admit that comfort wise, a big soft belly makes a much nicer pillow, lol.

Does anyone here take well to these compliments that infer big women have personalities but not looks, and thin women have looks but have fowl personalities?    Where is it written that to be beautiful one must be below a certain size?  And what is up with the idea that no matter how ugly a person is, he/she is beautiful just because he/she is thin?      M

BlkTallFullfig,

You should have read my response - I suggested that looks didn't really matter.

Don't worry, being full figured doesn't mean a women isn't attractive - you are a prime example of someone beautiful inside and out.

And no, that wasn't cheap flattery either - it just shows

But looks do matter!    It's not the only thing that matters; it's not even the most important factor in determining whether I enter into/stay in a relationship, but it matters babe...   I did discover in recent years that I can seriously care for someone whom I don't find physically hot; but the times a person is smart and kind enough to get/retain my luv on a deeper level (enough to inspire lust without an inspiring bod) are few and far between unfortunately.

Thanks for the compliments ToGive...   M

I think "looks" is again, subjective. It's a personal choice... What is ugly to me, is not ugly to another. In the other thread about "fat" people, there was one guy who obviously had several women drooling over him, I found him not attractive at all to me, and that was based purely on esthetics, never mind his personality.

So, yes, someone's looks is important, but, it's what you think is attractive that changes from one person to another.

Some people think I'm beautiful (GOD love them for it!), others don't...

Also, I have to say being neat, and keeping yourself "up" is important to me. And well, if you've got a sexy foreign (not "US") accent, they move right to the top of the list for me [;)]

I think I'm not bad looking (not stuck on myself though) AND I have a fabulous personality ... LOL... note the sarcasm

With that?I don't see one personally as everyone has a right to be here.As fat ladies have as much right to use this site just as much or as little as everyonelse does. And to what some people find ugly some people find beautiful.

As beauty is always in the eye of the beholder.I personally am much more attracted to a ladies personality,im only mildly interested in looks. But i guess everyonelse is different to me on this site,as alot of people seem to go for looks first. The only trouble with that is even though that person is handsome or pretty, they might be a really nasty person. That's one thing you have to watch out for to all you guys and girls who are only interested in looks.

The singularly most beautiful woman on this planet (and I'm not saying "to me"....she is the singularly most beautiful woman on this planet, period) is slightly overweight.

She is without question, gorgeous.

Beyond definition as to stunning.

Who's the singularly most beautiful woman on the planet?    Do you realize that there isn't one perfect look which is true for everyone?    M

I call myself as I see it..and willingly admit it to all and sundry..I am an obese woman, not due to any health issues except I love food, and lack the adequate activity needed to get rid of it...plain and simple as that..lack of control..probably...seen as a health risk to many...absolutely...has health reasons affected me as yet...nope...I simply refuse to be apologetic..I am human and as a human I have my faults, as all do...the only problem with being obese is that you cannot hide it!..lol..there are many issues a human can hide but obesity is simply impossible...GRRR..~wink~as I say to many of my friends "shoot its all behind me now!"...oops...now its migrating to the front'!......[:D]....Tempting

Wonder how many pages this one will end up being and how bad it will get?

Oh it will go on awhile. Fat threads, sub vs slave and Gor vs BDSM usually end up long and can get nasty. Gee! I am so looking forward to it. [8|]

Has anyone tried asking whether Goreans or BDSMers are fatter? That could be a fun way to combine favorite topics.

touchthesky -> RE: Someone recently mentioned on here how there are many fat women on this site, but what's the prob (2/15/2007 6:34:14 PM)

to the OP...what a friggin stupid post. No one said anything about overweight women not having a right to be in BDSM or anything remotely like that. or maybe u were high when u read the post since u didnt understand it. Do people read anymore? another question might be is if people into BDSM can read, or if they get more zest outa disagreein, LMAO. For friggs sake tho. at least if u disagree , disagree with something someone actually says rather than hallucinating something no one said just so u can sound holier than thou.

I still think this post is less about fat vs. skinny and more about if you look towards someone's personality or their attractiveness level to you.

I don't know, that's how I understood it.

this might be slightly off topic, but i've always wondered, why are overweight, even significantly overweight, women often referred to, and refer to themselves, as curvy?? fat does not equal curves. i know of a great many overweight women who possess not a single curve...zero hips, no discernible waist, butt as flat as a board. in fact, i can think of many more thin or slender women who are curvy. so where did the overweight=curvy thing come from??

Have you seen a large woman naked? We are curvy. *points at her breasts* It's a curve. *points at her hips* They curve. *points at her stomach* It curves out but yes it does curve.

actually, yes, i have seen a great many larger women nude. and a great many have NOT been curvy, tho of course some are, i suspect those women would be curvy regardless of their weight. fat does not = curves, just as slender does not = lack of curves, that's all i'm saying.

my mother was short, about 5 feet, and i would guess she weighed 250. "fat" if you will. her large breasts and portruding stomach did not make curves, rather they just added some lumps to her otherwise rectangular form. not to mention her butt, which defied all logic in its supreme flatness. how, exactly, is that curvy? now, i can think of some larger women who i'd define as curvy...many plus sized fashion models are curvy, for example, because being proportionate is important in that industry, regardless of one's size. and that's what curvy is about anyway...a proportionate, feminine silhouette?? if a protruding stomach is all it takes to define onself as "curvy" then the many men out there with huge beer guts also qualify, right?

Get off your soap box.  Curvy is as Curvy does.  If someone finds my rolls of fat to be curvy, who are you to tell them they are wrong?  If you want to subscribe to the fashion industry's idea of what is beautiful and nice...so be it, but don't try to make your definition the end all be all for everyone.

. at 34b, my breasts are the largest of any submissive or slave my Master has ever had, so i'm somewhat self-conscious about it

but BOT, you mentioned pear shaped...i would describe either an hourglass or pear shaped figure as curvy.

at 34b my breasts are the smallest of any girl my Master has ever had, so i'm somewhat self conscious about it! [:(] i hate my small breasts. thank god they're shaped nicely.

pear shaped, oh how that name haunts me.
