There is a piece of wood running along the bottom of the boxspring. You can screw into that for a nice solid feel. I use that method with leather lined steel cuffs and it is really solid. Totally unescapable too. With the right attachment at the bottom you can see that the screw gets mainly sheer force, rather than a pulling force. Actually a regular drywall or decking screw will go through a link of a dog choker chain, and it won't slip off. That only delivers sheer stress to the screw. That method also allows you to choose which link to use to adjust the length. Realistically you can probably get away with this in a hotel too if you slip the sheet up a bit on the boxspring. Unscrew it and the hole pretty much closes up, just recover it with the sheet and you should be fine. While there is a hole left in the wood, the fabric stretched, and will sort of close up. I doubt anyone would ever notice it unless it is pointed out to them. Once you have four chains attached at the corner, adjusted so they are at the right height, the O ring on the end can be attached to anything. Actually if you are at home, that is that you own the bed, there is an enhancement. If you don't have a pillowtop matress there is usually a fairly stiff wire running around the perimeter at the top. If you are willing to make holes there you can add a lock or other form of secondary attachment at that point for more control. I use this method and it also helps keep the matress in position on top of the boxspring. My next enhancement, which is not done yet, I need to pick up a few things first, is the sides. The same attachment points like the top corners I intend to install at the sides to restrain the arms more like a hospital restraint system. This would also have some sort of harness that would then attach to the restraints at the top, the ones previously used for the wrists. To get an idea of what I have in mind google for segufix. They are in Germany but I'm pretty sure they still have an English page. Look for something like system complete, which means the complete system. These are hard to get and expensive, and when something like that comes up on eBay, it gets bids. I've read a few things here and there too, the Segufix system is locked by magnetic locks. Somehow the mental patients were finding magnets somehow and escaping. Segufix redesigned the locks so that only their magnetis key would work. Kinda makes you wonder, are the crazy people in Germany really smart or what ? Back to the subject, if all else fails there is the floor. Don't call me crazy, if you have a carpeted floor, I mean not parquet, hardwood whatever, just a regular floor with carpet you can screw right through the carpet. When you take the screws out all you have to do if fluff the nap a little and the hole will disappear.Of course it doesn't work on a cement or tile floor. Have fun :-) T
