the dog leashes work very well.the most versitile thing i have found are hospital restraints. they have long straps that can easily be adjusted to fit any size bed and you can fasten them to the legs on the frame or simply slip them between the matress and boxspring. we have had the same set for 10 years or so. they can be dropped in the washing machine for easy clean up provide firm restraint but do not cause discomfort

i apologise if this has been suggested already, but i only read the original post and not all the numerous replies.

One way to restrain to a bed that doesn't have posts is using bondage straps that encircle the mattress over and under it. The restraints you have can clip onto the straps. There are some available, i don't remember where a friend of mine found the ones she was looking at, but i'm certain you can find them at almost any bondage gear store online. You can also likely make your own, if you're good at sewing. Just be certain to use a good strong material to make them from, perhaps vinyl or leather.

With one 50 foot length of rope, you can fashion a harness over all 4 corners of the mattress. Start by making a loop in the top left hand corner of the bed, pull it over to the right top side, loop it to secure and go to the bottom right, loop it again and over to the bottom left, up to the original point of origin and secure. If y'all want to see pictures, I would be happy to photograph this and post it somewhere.
Course if the bed has legs cut yourself 4 pieces of rope long enough to go around the feet of the bed and up to the top to attach your restraints to.
