Outlier,

Thanks for the great post.  As you know, I think food is incredibly sensual.  I really enjoy cooking, everything about it lifts the senses.  The scents, the taste, how it feels in your mouth.  It is all rather primal.  I mean, really...someone very kinky must have come up with the idea of dipping lobster in warm butter and then licking the butter from your fingers.  Does it get any better than that?

I don't think so...

...or who can forget the "Better than Sex" dessert...

*Grinning* this reminded me of something.  My cousin's husband used to be a merchant marine.  He'd be gone 60 days at a time or so, out to sea.  I took her to one of my favorite restaurant one night, when he had been gone about 45 days and counting.  The desserts at this place were phenomenal, and I ordered her this warm brownie cake with a sweet cream filling.  It was truly divine and straight out of the oven.  She took a bite and swooned like I have never seen a swoon.  I knew the chef, and he came out to say hello.  Without missing a beat, my cousin leapt off her chair and hugged him (she had never met him before).  It was hysterical and made the chef quite happy indeed!

ownedgirle,

I thank you for your earlier contributions as well.

I loved: " Eat, Drink, Man, Woman,"

I remember seeing it when my woman was traveling because
she generally did not like subtitles.  But I got it again as soon
as she returned and as soon as she saw the artistry of the
Chinese chef behind the credits, she was hooked.  A
movie I heartily recommend.

P.S.   If you know anyone who can cook anything that will cause
woman to throw themselves at the cook.  Please tell them,
I WANT THAT RECIPE!

LOL!!!!  The restaurant was eventually sold and the new owners unfortunately tanked it.  No idea where the chef is now.  But let me tell you..............it's been years and I STILL remember that damned dessert....whew!!

Although I did go to Bolo a year & a half ago for my birthday, which is Bobby Flay's wonderful upscale restaurant in Manhattan.  It was a $300 dinner just for the two of us. The dessert I ordered was this little sampling of three bite-sized chocolatey morsels of paradise.  I was with my sister, and she just laughed at my expression when I took my first bite.  I suppose it was noticeable because one of the men at the table next to us leaned over to me and asked what I was experiencing over here.  I smiled and said "It's heaven on a plate!"  We proceeded to engage in conversation, they proceeded to fill my wine glass with their bottle, and finally when we asked our waiter for the check he said, "The gentlemen to your left already picked it up."

Yep, there's something to be said about a good dessert.  LOL!

This surprised me. As a dominant male I find that the kitchen is an enormously sexy place. I am certain other dominant males are not alone in this.

Nope. Dominant males are not alone. This dominant woman agrees with you. Housework doesn't do it for me, but my submissive in the kitchen ... yummy! on so many different levels.

Aine,

If I could move your post up to being the OP I would.

You took my simple recipe of food, appreciation of food
and ability to prepare food, requires sensitivity of the senses,
equals the possibilities of great sex.  And elevated it to a new realm.

You enriched it, brought new aspects to it and completely
redefined it, for the better.  It is such a literate, flowing,
honestly passionate piece of writing that encompasses so
much; I am actually proud my writing was the catalyst for it.

I thank you.

My take on the kitchen is similar to the OP.
I think it's far more personal to prepare food myself and serve it embellished with nice little presentations to make it the most appealing to your eyes, nose, taste buds and tummy.
I do the cook all day thing when I can, but with my schedule sometimes it's a quick 45 minute meal.
Either way the way you lay the plates, and the quality of the food and flavor come through.
I honestly would prefer a sexy quiet intimate dinner at home rather than a night out to eat.
It seems more personal and you can say follow your instincts and do what you want without worrying about others seeing you be frisky or nude.
I prefer to wear some sexy lingerie, put candles on the table, set the table nicely and serve dinner like my man is the only person in the world at that moment.
In addition to that I love the kitchen due to the pervertablility of so many common items in it.
Nothing is more exciting than cooking a meal and having my man come up behind me with something he found in the kitchen (like a spatula, a food product, or a task).
One of my favorite kitchen experiences was I was making 10lbs of potato salad for a family party. He came up behind me ad told me no matter what he did I was to remain focused on my task at hand and I was not to stop.
Between spanking me, inserting things into me, and finally inserting himself into me it was a miracle I got the potato salad done without potato peels or egg shells in the mix.
I also think the kitchen floor is a good place to do messy things like wax play or food play as it's much easier to clean up linoleum than carpet or a mattress.
The kitchen in my mind is far more about lots of things other than preparing meals.

I have to learn how to put multiple quotes from
different posts into one post.  Then I could package
up the thank you notes into one post.  Until then,
this one goes to:

afeathr,

I am flattered that you thought the post was worth
sharing with your Sir.  And glad to have others who
share this perspective.

I know you two don't need my encouragement but
I'll say it anyway.  Keep cooking,

This has been a fun thread

losttreasure Thank you for sharing your (plural) thoughts
on a busy day for you.  I hope you two cook together
for a long time.

cuddleheart50  You just keep being who you are and
somebody will have enough brains to see your special
qualities.

felinepersuasion  How lucky you two are to have each
other and thank you for your contribution

sublizzie  Thank you for your early endorsement

I am not done I just need to take a break and grab a snack.
No I have not met her yet, unfortunately not that kind of snack.

I also appreciate the contributions from:

lacenleathergirl  Licking and finger food and juicy,
yep you got it.  And it doesn't get much better.

SimplyMichael  Thank you for the vote of support
from another dominant male.

Juliaoceania    Those mental images work for me.

myobedience  Thank you for your vote of agreement

StellaByStarlite  I agree with you and I thank you

lorelei115  I find this post to be most impressive because
you are employed in a kitchen.  It is good to see that
something that is your job, has not taken the meaning
out of it for you.

onestandingstill  I thank you for the terrific example of
kitchen predicament play.  I'll bet potato salad will never
be the same for you.  You get it perfectly.

BountyHunter   thank you for chipping in twice especially
with the great metaphor about prep time

TemptingNviceSub   "Better than sex" dessert;  That is
a judgment I would like to make for myself.  By going back
and forth between the two until I was sure. (wink)
Your eyes are not the only tempting thing about you.

mixielicous  You bet it counts, glad it was just the way
you like it.

Attendedkarma  I have saved your thank you for last because
it is the most difficult for me.  The only thing I could suggest is
that you show your partner this thread in an attempt to awaken
him to this wonderful sensual world.  and so he can begin to
become more appreciative of what is important to you.
I wish you all the best, thank you for contributing

If there is anyone who I have not thanked I am sorry
and I have really enjoyed a fun, share the wealth of ideas thread.
