    I do sympathize with the underwire bras.   I remember years ago, an ex purchased a underwire for me.    It felt like I was wearing bowls on my boobs and they left wicked marks.    I avoided buying them for a very long time.    I settled for the plain white bras that felt soft when I touched them---never the lacy ones cause they tend to be itchy.    They are ugly but I was striving for comfort not look.    Since that time, I have lost quite a bit of weight so now I am a C cup.   I do wear bras if I must and recently went bra shopping.   I found one; I liked the way the material felt and I loved the color.     The only problem was it had an underwire.   I could not find anything similar without an underwire and finally gave in and bought it.   Surprisingly, it was one of the most comfortable bras I'd ever worn so I bought a few more in different colors.   I am not sure if unwires are made more comfy now because it is not of wire material, it a very soft flexible plastic or it's because I have lost weight and because of that unwires are just more comfortable.   
    I can empathize with having larger breasts.    It makes saying no more M&M's easier.   [:)]

I remember someone telling me a long time ago that in order to test whether you can go braless, see if you can hold a pencil under your breast. I have DD's and my response was, " Hell, I can hold the whole damned pencil box!"  [:D]

If you give them that right, sure they do. If not, no.
 
Would I tell a woman to do that on a first meeting? No. I would see how compatible we were, and observe her demeanor, and go from there.

All I can say, looking down, is… going braless is sometimes udderly ridiculous!
 
But there is no accountin’ for taste!  He rather liked it.
 
And no, I wouldn’t appreciate, nor obey, some guy who tried to tell me to arrive for a first meet sans underwear.  (Of course, after submission, his wish is my command.)

i can understand he wanted to test your obedience but i think he could have been more sensitive about it,there are millions of other things he culd have asked for.

i have small ones but i am just as concious if not more so than most about mine due to an operation they are ''uneven'' i explained that to my last Dom/daddy when we were first meeting up and he understood he put no pressure on me at all,it was my decision, had he then told me to wear one and i hadnt THEN he wouldnt have been impressed lol

but i didnt wear a bra that first meet (first time in yrs id gone out in public w/out one) i was extremely uncomfortable but i was also very pleased [:D] and he was extra pleased (so i was extra extra pleased! you know how it goes lol) because he understood how difficult it was for me and really didnt expect that i would be bra-less, and ive never worn one since ...as for the pantys ...that wasnt so hard [;)]

After you have met in real life a few times and have decided there is chemsitry there, and you both have come to that conclusion. I've been drawn to people online only to find out they were complete jack asses in real life. I do not consider the first meeting the time to be his potential submissive and there for do tasks for him. I am meeting him as a human a breathing person, an equal at this point seeing if he interests me as much as I thought. And him getting to see if I interest him as much as he thought I would.

If you have not tried on the bra to make sure it fits properly, then I think underwire does and can poke. Maybe it wasn't comfortable because you didn't try it on and find one you liked.  I know that if James wanted to gift clothing to me I'd definatly suggest going to the store together hehe.

wellll i just have to say im prety well "cursed" in the upper boobage section as well lol!! and i have to say it hurts after a while not having those bad boys supported.... I would let the Dom know that he has nooo idea on how those things cooperate!

    I dunno how it works in other states but here in NY one can not try on any undergarments prior to purchase, that includes bathing suits.   These items can not be returned either.

I must agree with alot of opinions on here... I have rather large breasts too and going without a bra not only makes me feel uncomfortable but it looks completely stupid too... I just simply cant get away without wearing one.
To be honest if I was asked not to wear a bra when first meeting I would just laugh and cancel the date as he obviously doesnt have my interests at heart and wont look after me as I deserve

That's the whole point here. If the only thing you've agreed to is to meet face to face, then disobedience doesn't even come into the equation because it hasn't been agreed on.

Personally, I wouldn't have shown submission to just every ole wanker that came along, which is what is being suggested. He says he's a Dom, but do you really know that until you've met him?

There was a guy here in SoCal. Would meet women online and tell them that to meet him they had to have bangs as part of their hairstyles. If they didn't have bangs, they had to go get them cut in. At least 8 women did this to show their submission. How do I know this? Because those were the 8 women that he beat and raped on the first meeting.

Submissive women were an easy target for him, especially those that submitted without qualification. And chances are, those women would be so weak willed that they wouldn't report him either.

Now, keep in mind that those women met him at coffee shops and similar places. They had safe calls in place. The only mistake they made was allowing him to walk them to their car.

By the way, he was out on parole when he comitted those 8 rapes in 10 months, his third strike even. And he was right, the women involved didn't want to report their rapes. One of the women required over 50 stitches from where he stuck his hand up inside her with a ring on. It tooks us months to convince her to go to the police. It took 10 months for someone to report him for rape, all because he chose his victim profile carefully.

Does this happen all the time? No. Matter of fact, it happens rarely. Does it matter if it happens rarely, if it happens to you?

By the way, ask those of us involved in the LA scene how thrilled we were to have the LAPD in our chat room and attending our socials. Having the name of our chatroom and the locations of our socials plastered into an article in the LA Times. It was detrimental to the entire community to have that kind of exposure.

If you do something to show submission and then reject that person, don't you think sooner or later you're going to get someone who doesn't quite understand? It may not be rape, but there are certainly a good number of stalkers Real time and cyber) in the community. People that are on the fringes of what we do simply because it feeds their ego or because submissive women are an easy mark. (especially novices) Men who think they're entitled to a symbol of submission simply because they've labeled themselves as Dominant, tend not to take "No" for an answer well.

I think it's foolish to be anything other than equals for that first meeting.

Such a fabulous post, OsideGirl...I sure hope people listen to what you are saying...but so often, common sense talk like this falls on deaf ears (no offense meant to members of the deaf community).

I simply do not understand why so many, esp in this day and age, still refuse to exercise common sense and due caution, whether Lifestyle or Vanilla.

My sub told me about this thread and I just had to come read for Myself!

I can believe that a pigmale would issue you such an ultimatum, already knowing that you would be uncomfortable in public, for a FIRST MEETING, but I can't believe a serious Dom would.

Run, don't walk, for the hills!  Be glad you learned of his inconsiderate boorishness straight from jump street and find a Dom with a little more class.

Oh balderdash, Gentry, and I normally find your posts pretty interesting, too.

Yes, I acknowledge that some Doms (a friend and mentor of Mine who happens to be a Master in search of a slave) would expect total obedience at first glance.

But this is the real world, with loads of psycho's out there, and if a man cannot respect a woman's initial hesitation, caution, and self protection for what it is, then he is not worthy to be her Dom, anyway.

I find it hard to believe that YOU, Gentry, would truly cater to the Compleat Ass of a Dom manual given this woman's particular set of circumstances.  Methinks thou art merely blogging hot air.
