Status: offline 		ok.. i enjoy biting my slaves/pets/subs and i was wondering what i should be careful of. of course AIDs and HIV but i was wondering more about other haremful things, mental scaring, wether it was a ok practice, things of that nature. i want others opinions on this... jsut to be safe so i dont get myself or my pets sick.

absorbent? care to tell more about that.. cuz i am at a bit of a loss for ur meaning. and arnt cysts bad? i dont think i would bite them anyway.

Be careful of physical scarring, not to mention infection if you are biting and drawing blood.  Human bites have a nasty tendacy to infect, so you have to be very sure to care for it afterwards. Mentally, make sure your partner knows what you have planned, and they are ok with it.  If they are not, do not force the issue, let them warm up to it.  Bite gently, and talk to them about it.  Maybe they can be brought around and maybe they cant, but dont assume tey will be ok with it.  Thats a scary thing to experience and they may not be ok right off. Thats where youd get the mental issues.
Above all else, make sure you and they are both tested and clean before you even consider it.

Status: offline 		i am always very careful and clean the wounds i make, if any, after i bite. i have taken to many bio classes to be stupid to the fact of germs. i never bite hard at first.. and my one slave (who i have not met yet) begs for me to rp bite him.. i will of course ask him once we meet if he feels the same. i havent been tested but i havent needed to be.. not yet.. but i will when i do become.. active in all aspects of my life.

Status: offline 		Be sure to ask about health history if you plan to break skin. I bite hard enough to leave an impression for days without ever breaking the skin once.  Mouths are germy places where certain things live that the rest of the body can not tolerate. If someone has a heart defect, stent, or an artificial body parts (valves, joints etc...) you really should not break the skin with the mouth. Bacteria from the mouth can cause infections in those area if it gets into the bloodstream (which is why they have to take antibiotics before any dental work, even cleanings).

I personally think better safe than sorry. Doing a large bite that doesn't break the skin and holding it to leave the mark, then licking the middle always produces shivers and no danger of infection. Save bloodletting for nice sterile knives....

I wouldn't open the skin for danger of infection. 

Mental scaring?  Like mental abuse?  Put yourself in the position, do you want someone to harm you?

Status: offline 		i know that.. that is why i asked to get others opinions. i havent broken the skin yet but a few of my pets wish me to. i am in controle but if they, my pets, r unhappy so am i.

hereyesruponyou: testing and medical history is a good thing to check. thank you for saying that. 

sub4hire: i wouldnt mind a few scars from bites.. but u bring up a good point.. i will talk with any i bite hard enough to leave that kind of marking.

Status: offline 		I remember back in college Biology, we took a swab of the inside of our mouths and looked at it under a microscope. It would blow your mind if you had any idea the bacteria living in your mouth...even if you brush, floss, and use mouthwash. Most of this bacteria is called Streptococcus mutans. This is a form of strep that when fed with sugar release an acid that is the chief cause of tooth decay. It is there in your mouth no matter what you do, but you control it by practicing good dental hygiene.

This is why a human bite is a very dirty wound. If it breaks the skin, bacteria WILL be introduced into the wound and the chance of it becoming infected is quite good.

Status: offline 		Bloodletting is one of my favourite activities.  As a sub, I would just say to be very sensitive to your pet's feelings, and afterward be sure to use lots of antibacterial ointment.  That will not only prevent infection, but will also minimize scarring, leaving your pet happy, healthy, and pretty.  :)

thnc u... i always ask before i bit hard enouogh to leave a mark that would last more then a day... i always make sure my slaves r comfertable.. in everything. antibacterial is very good.. for most BDSM play i find.. keeps ppl safe and healthy... and pretty. thank you for your opinion.

Status: offline 		yes, infact on foresnic files a guy punched another so hard the tooth broke there for cutting the hand and it swelled up and turned black and dead looking an he claims he did it on a dumpster cut, but nope not flyinh.

Status: offline 		Please take a look at my post "Bloodplay: Risks and Counters to Risks." Those are all the risks and concerns i have so far.

Please note: Never bite to bleed. It is very painful, not very effective in cutting the skin, and is very likely to cause infection because of bacteria in the Top's mouth. And if You bite anyone, swish mouthwash beforehand.

Status: offline 		More and more people are colonized with bacteria, like MRVA Staphlococcus aureus, they live happily in various moist places and only cause trouble when they encounter a weak immune system or from a wound, people get them in hospitals, and nurses and doctors and patients are taking them home to their families. These superbugs are hard to treat, and people can be disfigured or die from them. Putting antibiotic cream on the wound after won't prevent that kind of infection. i can't help but wonder how could that kind of risk be worth it?

Status: offline 		Have you run a finger along the bite edge of your own teeth lately? Pretty blunt huh? Not an effective cutting tool. Human bites are more prone to serious and potentially life-threatening infections not only because of the gazillion bacteria that live in our mouths being inoculated into a bite wound, but also because there is serious tissue damage caused by the mere act of biting, even without breaking the skin..... viz to wit the bruising that you'll see afterwards. Add that tissue trauma to the injection of bacteria and bingo.... infection. With a razor edged tool a cut takes virtually no pressure.... with a bite it takes a phenomenal amount of pressure to break the skin.
 
My suggestion: don't do it, or go get your teeth sharpened. But then you'll have to watch your tongue  Ouch!

For a heart murmur you only have to premedicate if there is risk of puncture to mucous membranes...ie- mouth or vagina.  Regular skin breakage doesn't carry the risk.  Don't know the protocol for stent or artificial parts.

I agree wholeheartedly with everyone who has said that you should not, under just about any circumstances, bite to bleed. The wound WILL get infected, and that infection can very easily be life threatening.

Also, keep in mind that it is very easy to leave marks that persist for days using very little force when biting, so make sure your sub is okay with bruising, and if you are biting in a visible area, make sure your sub is okay with visible bruising.
