Yeah, I agree, TigressFL.

I do half my work here at home (the other half on campus) so I'd not be pleased really to have another person at home all the time.

However, someone to take over a few more chores would possible though I tend to guard those I still have. There's a reason Fox doesn't do all my chores -- I want them done a particular way and trust no one else with them (cleaning the bathroom, the laundry) or I enjoy them (cooking). Otherwise he has taken on some chores I don't want.

That is so awesome.  Thanks, gave me a good laugh.  Can't they just cut the kids out of me?  I would really prefer the scar to the pain.  I'm thinking twins.  Then I only have to be pregnant once.  Lol

Weigh the difference.  Few days of pain from natural childbirth vs a couple months of pain + a scar from being cut open

I will take natural over c-section anyday as long as everything is ok with baby and me.

Don't get me wrong at 41 I have had and raised all the children I am gonna from my body.

I LOVE to go grocery shopping tammyjo, and I really have no problem doing a few
things to help my WIFE out!
LOL

I have a wife instead of a husband, but I prefer to call him a "stay at home sub."  I have never washed a dish, ironed, done laundry, or went to the grocery store since we got married.  I have never vacuumed, cleaned a bathroom or cooked a meal, including something as simple as cereal at breakfast. I have rarely even filled my own glass.  Spoiled is an understatement.

However, there are sacrifices.  He doesn't have a job so we don't have double income.  I'm not sure how many women are willing/able to give up having a man's income either support them or contribute.   I wouldn't trade it for the world, though.

Akasha

If I'm going to support a male then he better be damn capable. Actually I would prefer a labor slave, someone that can the grounds and farm work. The rest I can hire a maid and cooking is something I enjoy.

I would keep the housekeeper that I have coming in once a week so he or she would have more time to spend with me not doing chores because that is important to me.

This is the exact reason I'm seeking a domestic sub. My "wife" works a full time job. He comes home and has to cook dinner, do housework, dishes, laundry and such. It leaves him only a small amount of free time. We are fairly newly wed (2 years in June) and I want to spend time cuddling, playing and enjoying my lil one. At times, I let some of the housework slide because I desire play time or "us" time. Because I don't NEED a domestic, I'm being very selective in my search and it is taking a while to find someone who fits my exact criteria. In the mean time, I must admit I have considered hiring a service.

kinkyviolet -> RE: Does anyone else here seek a male wife? (4/12/2007 10:53:14 PM)

I used to fantasize about a situation something like this, and it still gives me warm fuzzies when I think about it.

She would be the "bread winner," and I the housewife. When she came home from work (in the fantasy she was usually some sort of personal trainer or fitness guru or something), I'd have a nice hot bath drawn and/or dinner cooking in the kitchen. Sometimes she would come home exhausted and just soak peacefully in the tub while I cooked. Sometimes I would massage her tired, aching muscles. Other times she would come home energized and practically drag me into the bedroom, where we would engage in hot, passionate, sweaty... well, you get the idea. In any case, I would always be there for her, to make our home her refuge from any outside stresses, to make sure she had absolutely nothing to worry about away from her job, and to shower her with love at every opportunity.

Beach you seem to have found a submissive "gem" there.
Since you both work full-time, why not get a weekly/bi-weekly or monthly cleaning service?
More time to play and allow him to serve you!
I have no problem with a cleaning service, especially if you both are working full time!
I rather have a cleaning service come in, and it will give him more time to cook and pamper

and play with me![;)]

Fast Reply (I promise I'll go back and read all the posts!)

Can I just have a wedding and not be married? I really wanna wear the dress! hmmmm maybe I'll do that! just wander about my flat in a wedding dress, get my jollies, and be done with it.

back to the regularly scheduled thread :-D

SweetDommes -> RE: Does anyone else here seek a male wife? (4/12/2007 11:56:02 PM)

You know, violet's post made me think of a story written by myself and one of our very first potentials (which I am still sorry that we lost touch with ... but with him being from Alaska, and then joining the Navy ... *sigh*).  What we wrote out was a scene set on a day off for me, so it started with me waking up just before Holly got home (remember, I'm nocturnal lol) to the smell of supper cooking and my clothes already laid out for me ... further details aren't that important [;)] but it was a very nice story.  I'll have to dig it out.

I guess for me this is probably the only reason I've never actively pursued anything like this. Don't get me wrong; foolishly in the past I have turned down wonderful offers of such situations from people of whom I knew to be real and very interested in me. I just kept thinking that if I wasn't working outside, I'd be somewhat worthless. Yeah, I know that's not really how it works as mentioned in both Akasha's and DiannaVesta's accountings. But it's very hard to believe that such thing is really possible and sustainable. I keep thinking that if I ever went that direction that one day I'd probably have to return to the real world of making a living and my time out of that environment might make that really hard, especially if there was something like ten or fifteen years in between such situations.

It would take a lot of self-convincing to get myself away from the belief that I'd be leaching off a woman, rather than contributing to her lifestyle and happiness. I've never really made it past that hurdle.

Hello MzMia,

I tried to email you but it said your profile wasnt active.
Could you email me perhaps? I wanted to ask you about who this "potential sub" might be because it soulds just like someone who was writing to me the last week or so.
The work hours, the taking of the Female Dommes name..etc.
Even if you dont want to say a name I could ask you if it was or wasnt the person I am thinking of.

Thanks,
MS DeAnnya

Hmm, maybe.  And I can always have them... what do they do, stick you in the spine with a needle?... Well whatever, perhaps it wouldn't be that bad.  Still wish men could be wives... and get pregnant.  Lol.

diaperedbaby -> RE: Does anyone else here seek a male wife? (4/13/2007 7:17:23 AM)

Wow, something I had not really considered. I have a business that I run out of my house for the last ten years, and maybe I should re-evaluate the thoughts of being a future wife?
Thanks for the idea(s).

VeryMercurial -> RE: Does anyone else here seek a male wife? (4/13/2007 7:20:28 AM)

I enjoy service oriented submissive males.
I have never wanted someone for playtime only.
So, yes a male wife would certainly be a great thing.

Actually you have a right to and are correct to worrry about what might happen in the future if you took yourself out of the job market. It's something that happens stay at home wives who are later divorced or widowed.

One way to deal with it would be to have a part-time job or work from home and then do the household stuff as well. Or take classes to keep you up to date on possible necessary career or jobs in the future.

D, you missed what I was saying.
First of all almost any slave I have has worked in a career and they support MY lifestyle. I have had both and to honest as I get older I dislike having someone always under foot. I enjoy having guys come in to stay for a few days, even a week (after considerable training). I’ve spent many years living this lifestyle and there was a time when I had a few slaves living in the house, some that came to visit, some I went to visit….lol- it was really busy.

I think the best scenario for me is to have one live-in slave that really knew me and truly served every part of me. They would work and then come home to care for me and do things on the weekend. This person would need to understand my needs and that no one person could ever fulfill all of them. I would have other slaves to visit and I visit them.

But I would definitely want my primary slave to be fit and able to work outside in my greenhouse and garden even if he/she did have a job. This is a very important part of my life.

VeryMercurial -> RE: Does anyone else here seek a male wife? (4/13/2007 7:47:09 AM)

Dianna, I think many men have the fantasy they would be able to stay at home.
I don't think most women share that same fantasy.
I know I don't, I am with you on this one.
There is no reason that I can think of why the male wife can not work outside the home
and still be a great wife.
Women have been wives and worked outside the home for years, I see no reason why a
man can't hold down an outside job and still be a great wife.
