I think that this has sort of nailed a big part of my submissive desires. I desire to be a male wife for a strong dominant woman. I hadn't thought of it before but it makes perfect sense.

bumping this up again for further discussion ... The more I think about this, the more I feel it is the ideal of what we are looking for. Someone to keep up with the housework (since we don't seem to be able to at this point - I work 45+ hours and drive an hour each way, rob works 40 or more and does 95% of the cooking, and Holly is working two jobs and takes care of the animals for the most part); someone to make sure that this is a happy place for us to come home to each day. Right now, this house stresses all of us out. We finally got one problem fixed and discovered another (which rob is also spending a lot of time fixing). We need someone to help out, to help keep the household running smoothly. To assist rob when he has to crawl under the house or up on the roof. To do all the little things which help a house feel like a home. To do the things which will give all of us more time to spend together - right now, it seems like if we aren't at work, we're busting our butts here ... which isn't much fun. So ... who is interested? lol

I have a male "wife". He does all the chores and works fulltime. As for the name, we have each other's last names, hyphenated with my name first. If I made enough money, he would be a househusband.

Great post MzMia. It will probably show up in many subs profiles. If foot care, massage, pedicure,etc is involved, it could not get much better for me. However I am wondering if the male wife, is differant than a slave. Does he still have to endure pain, cbt, strapon,etc., or would others please the Dommes disire for those kinds of things? I know several husbands who do most of the house work, and let the wifes control the money, and they are vanilla. It seems that today more husbands at least help, or are very henpecked, and do much of the menial chores. Things seem to be slowly changing. I was just born to early.

I don't see the terms wife and slave as being interchangable. I'm very interested in female led relationships and the role of wife would be great for me. The exact rythym of each relationship is unique. I don't see myself as a slave per se. Perhaps in a specific relationship, of course, but that would not equate to being one in another. As a wife, I would tend to see myself as part of the support aspect of the relationship. I would want to be free to express my thoughts to her, but when my Lady makes her decision, then my prime role would be to get on board and work to make that decision a succesful one for both of us. She is in charge of us. Things like doing her nails and her hair are fun things to be enjoyed for the pleasure they can give her and are not jobs as would any sexual things she might enjoy. I see those things as being separate from being her wife.

liks2plzlf, there are several profiles on here that state they would love to be a male wife. After reading this thread, it seems to really work out for some relationships. I have enjoyed reading the stories here about male wives. Sounds like a winner to me, also.

We've been discussing this with both of the boys we are talking to right now. I still don't know how much potential either of them have, but at least they are interested in the same type of thing that we are.

If i may say, the concept of becoming a male wife is extremely appealing! Saying the words ... "love, honor and obey You ..." taking Your last name .... wearing Your ring .... having the responsibility for domestic chores ... seems like a dream come true! [:)] The ultimate in love and trust! Yet realistically, unless She is fabulously successful, both of U/us working outside the home would be necessary tp ensure a very nice life style ....

You say that as if it negates the male wife being ultimately responsible for all household chores. Perhaps I am misunderstanding you? For decades now, women have beein in "vanilla" marriages where they have worked full time jobs and still taken care of all of the household responsibilities. Generally they have also had to put up with a husband who doesn't understand why they are then too tired to do anything "fun" on the weekends. Why shouldn't a relationship exist where, for a change, the male takes care of the household chores and works a full time job as well?

Unless he has a health problem, he can manage to do both. A male can take care of household chores and hold down a full time job.

Well MzMia First I agree with you completely about being dominant over your submissive and submissive only. There's so many ways to show you assertiveness without taking it that far in real life. Second, your male "wife" can take your last name it is perfectly legal. Finally, having a male "wife" is very new term and bring new feelings for me. Never thought about in that way. Forgive me for mis-stating my thoughts! While i thought of myself doing both ... working and household chores .... i failed to express myself correctly. What i meant to say was simply that staying at home may not be the most economically desirable thing in today's times .... but certainly, a male wife would do both .... as Women have done for years! Forgive my misstatements
