Batman is The Worlds Greatest Detective. It's not *just* the cool gadgets. It's the combination of intellect, detective skills, science and technology, wealth, physical prowess, and intimidation.

And man, NO-ONE can intimidate like Batman.

He designs or modifies the majority of costumes, equipment, and vehicles he uses. Batman also adapts or reverse-engineers the technology of other villains and heroes, such as Mister Terrific's T-spheres.

There's a reason He and Superman are called "World's Finest".

Well, technically, they may not be "super heros", but Pinky and The Brain, get my vote.  Man ya gotta love those guys! <grin>

I don't know if he counts as a superhero but I loved Conan the Barbarian (both the books and the comic books) growing up.  I liked how he was basically a decent guy (in his own uncouth barbarian way) who none-the-less took no shit from anybody. If I had to pick an actual suoperhero I guess it would be Wolverine, for the same reasons.

For me, my favorite Superhero was "The Manhunter".  It was a short series that ended in the Batman Comic of the early 70s.  Manhunter died saving the world (of course).  At present, I like the "Naruto".  I have always been interested in the artwork style.  Okay so Naruto is a Hyperactive, Knucklheaded, Cluess Teenage Ninja.  But if you watch it, there is some points on the human condition.

I think George Bush had that guy thrown in jail for shooting an illegal alien drug dealer.
