The side effects seem to be more tolerated the further into the family generations it goes but to answer your question, no. The side effects for the first generation of "Lot 6" users is still a fatal cerebral hemorrhage.

Thank you Aylee. Yes, you do a fine Jewish mother impression. Perhaps you might consider moving out towards the north east where those talents are more commonplace (and, there appears to be fish in the lakes in that region).

As to lasers... yes, they would work but they're not very invisible. Someone seeing you approaching might turn tail and run away, thereby depriving you of any reason to turn the device on. Having the power of pyro-kinesis is much more valued as no one will see it coming.

Just my thoughts.
