I have wondered about this for a long time, but have been reluctant to bring it up because I am afraid someone will label me a racist.  But, here it goes...

Why do all of the black Doms seem to be looking for white women?  Most of their profiles specifically state, "white sub or slave".  If their profile doesn't say it, a lot of them will have a picture of a black man dominating a white woman.  I was just looking at one where the Dom said he was looking for white, hispanic or asian.  So, anything BUT a black woman.  What is it that black Doms have against their own race?

Are there more white sub/slaves than black ones?  Is it the aesthetics of the contrast of the skin colors?  Is it more than that?

I hope I haven't offended anyone with my post as that is not my intention.

It could be for a variety of reasons, but the most considered is that the Dom believes he will be more appreciated for his own reasons / there are many whate subs that dictate black only.

Not all, but many. There are some regular posters that are black/black couples. And there are a number of white males who are looking for Asian females, etc etc etc

I certainly can't speak for everyone, but I do have a cm acquaintance from the other side that is a white sub who prefers black Doms; and she says that for her situation, it's better. She's married and playing on the side, and says she has found that black Dom men are more understanding and accepting of such. On the other hand, as I'm in the same situation, I strongly prefer white males, and haven't had a problem finding an equal amount of acceptance from them. Go figure.

Maybe it's just to each their own? Same reason some people like redheads, and some want blondes, some guys are ass men, and some are bood men. It's what floats their boat.

The whole thing kinda bothers me. Race is not a major factor.  There are many other things that matter more to me.

I much prefer dark-skinned women, and have almost exclusively dated Asians, Latins, and blacks.  The woman I am seeing now grew up in west Africa, and moved to the US as a teen.  Lucky for me, she is most sexually attracted to white men.

There's a lot of anger, among blacks, against black men who chase white women.  (Not as much against women who chase white men, interestingly enough.)  I think a lot of that comes from a defensiveness because black women think they are starting out with an unfair shake because they are "less beautiful" in this society than white women.

Remember the "scandalous" experiment a few years back, when black children were asked to choose the prettier doll, and all of them chose the white doll instead of the black doll?  There's no question that social status and the international media play a role here.  A study made front page news in Japan last year that, for the first time ever, young Japanese women chose "American" as the country they would most like their future husband to be from.  ("Japanese" had been the leader for many years, since the beginning of the survey.)  Such changes in preference don't happen in a vacuum.

I can attest to that.  Early last year I went out with a black man (I am not black) and he let me know he could not introduce me to family/friends because the women would eat me alive.  It kind of made me wonder what the point was in continuing.

That said, people have preferences.  Some prefer blondes, some prefer redheads, some prefer Asians, and so on.  I know a number of white men who find black women to be the ultimate in attractive and sexy.

My owner is Native American which a much darker complexion than I, and he said he enjoys the contrast between us (I am very fair skinned).  I myself have always been more attracted to darker complected men.

It's just a preference, like anything else.  I prefer my partners to have dark hair and light eyes, which tends to limit my primary attraction to white partners.  However, there are an increasing number of African American or Latino people with light eyes and dark hair as well, and I find them very attractive (like my Sir).  My Sir tends to prefer women of color due to his perception of their body builds.  He likes thick women, with strong large thighs, a large ass, and prodigious breasts...all traits that are often seen in women of other races.  Fortunately for me, I also meet all those requirements.
Also, some people have a racial fetish, which is just as valid as any other, provided that the people involved are consenting. Some wish to roleplay early American slavery, some wish to reverse it and trade in on racial humiliation...it's just a kink.

I am a white sub with a black Dom.  He's the only one I have ever been with in a D/s relationship, and we have been together for 7 years.  Before that, I was married to a man from near India, my boyfriend during college was from Puerto Rico.  Ever since I can remember, I have preferred dark skin and dark hair on men.  I am very pale and I love the color contrast.  I am very visual and I love looking at other interracial couples, just because I find it aesthetically pleasing.  My Sir has been with black and white women.  I've also had white boyfriends.  The thing is, whatever works, is what works. 

One of my favorite profile pictures is the one of our hands.  It's been in my collection since I first came to CM.

I didn't take any offense at your questions.  Oh, and yes, there are some black women who resent the hell out of a black man who dates a white woman.  It's ok though, in the end, there are enough people for everybody.  [:)]  Have fun and enjoy!

Opposites often do attract.

I like dark skin and I have really white skin.

Dark skin on white skin looks like a glowing silouette in the moon light.

i agree with everybody who says its a matter of attraction. i think it goes beyond the BDSM lifestyle. i'm multi-racial so i have no problem being with other races(moreso i doubt i could find a male that i'm attracted to that is the exact same mix as i am AND get along romantically lol). But speaking as somebody who has a "bitter black woman"(due to a bad divorce from my father who was primarily white) for a mother, i have heard everything under the sun as to why black men go for white women: "they feel entitled during slavery...they are a trophy...they hate their race...they are too weak to deal with a strong, independent black woman...white women let them leach off them...they can treat a white woman any way they want...." the list GOES ON. do i agree? Fuck no. some of it could be true, but it would be on an individual basis, just like who you are attracted to.

Race and ethnicity are perhaps the last thing on my mind when I'm looking for a partner. That said, when I am with someone of a different race or ethnicity, I think it isn't wise to pretend it's not there. I've had fun playing with it in the past.

When I have been with Mediterranean or Middle Eastern (at times Muslim born) men who have been submissive to me, I often get an extra little kick out of subverting the really strong male dominant models of their society. That doesn't mean that I will seek out only this type.

More closely linked to the OP, I have a Kenyan friend who prefers white women because he likes the power reversal that it can have. He finds the reverse submission really hot and when he described it, I have to admit, it was pretty steamy ;-)

I pretty much bang'em all.

For the longest time while I was in the midst of my black gal binge...I thought I had sworn off whitey, altogether.

Then the darnedest thang happened whilst I was knee deep in some badunkadunk....I found my way back to the land of pink nipples.

I've had that experience too. I would say that it's a society thing rather than a D/s thing, OP-vanillas do it too, it's just that they don't say it out loud quite so explicitly.

I am a white man who adores redheads, they are paler than me and it looks wonderful. I'm not hooked on it, it's just a prediliction. People of every colouir have their likes and fancies, it's not about race, it's about what gets their dick up at any given time.

Personally I have no issues nor bias for or against any race, colour creed or religion. It is some people I can't stand,
