I have to ask. You know how it is when an oft repeated anecdote sinks into your head and becomes a stereotype. I also know how many nutters posing as Doms hit on people here. But are there still people out there thick enough to write emails of the "On your knees, Bitch!" variety? I assume that they are mostly from virgins who live with their mum, what's your take? I was hoping these idiots were an internet urban myth.

Nope, they most definitely are not, thus the sigline. (points below). Not only the emails, but the posters here that not so subtlely hint that submissives should post in some predesigned fashion or make comments about acceptable submissive personalities, which gives me a good laugh. However, assuming all anonymous emailers on a bdsm site have social skills and think with the head on their shoulders at all times would be laughable as well.

The phrase can definitely be hot. However, the circumstances where that is the case are quite limited.

i have been meaning to ask this for ages - what is a tit-sitter.

as for the 'on youre knees' approach. you know its been so long since that approach has been applied to me and even when those types were approaching me i dont ever remember one being that crassly ignorant - but the genre of their approach was along those lines for sure -

i always got the impression it was guys with a greater bias toward fantasy and ignorance and a basic lack of finesse - but probably theyre approach works some of the time, or they wouldnt keep on with it.

the trouble is that they probably know that eventually theyll come across a newbie who is so hot for it on any level that such a command will bring them to their trembling knees. for as long as there is a market and supply and demand is reasonably equitable theyll always haunt the corridors of places like this.

theyre not myth at all sadly - whats even sadder is that some newbies get swept up by them - but its all part of the learning curve and i would imagine those subs who remain determined will manage to crawl through the frog swamp and reach terra firma eventually.

Most fellas know there's a certain truth in "treat 'em mean to keep 'em keen" when dealing with the opposite sex. Seems natural it'd gravitate to BDSM. And I dunno about these dom "virgins who live with their mum" being the typical stereotype who practise being presumptuous, rude and obnoxious with it. Seems to be more about who they mostly target - ie, the "new meat"....

I have gotten messages from "Doms" who give me various instructions in the same vein as your post title. None had read my profile or seemed detered by the fact I was a dominant. Most of the messages I get are from "submissives" who want me to let them move in, want me to do them all the things they see on internet web sites or, the most popular this week, want me to watch them masterbate or do CBT to themselves on cam. So no, for me this mind set is a reality, not an urban legend. Sadly.

i rarely get the "on your knees bitch" sorts of emails - i think it's the way my profile's written (or was written, i'm not starting any new conversations right now).

Messages of that nature were a rarity for me. Even the supposedly strange appeared capable of stringing together a couple of sentences to say I know I'm not your type but I like this or that and so on. There were a few copy and paste ultimate slavery offers but for the most part my inbox was relatively sane. I'm uncertain if that's the result of presentation, tone, or the fact they hadn't reached my name as of yet. I suspect all three would apply.

My response was always, "You first." It never ceased to amaze me how many responses I received back along the lines of "yes Mistress."

I think that approach is happily close to extinction, but like Laurel stated - the mindset still betrays itself every now and then in certain posts and emails.

I get those types of messages occasionally. I usually ignore them, or if I happen to be bored I'll mess with their minds a bit then I'll ignore them haha. I'd much rather have an intelligent conversation with someone here.
