O-M-G!!!!! I haven't laughed this hard in a long time!!! This thread has got to be in the top 10, if not the top 5. BurntKitty: Any attempts at composure were entirely decimated when I came across your post. You find the best icanhascheezburger stuff ever!!!! quote:
ORIGINAL: lizi Would anyone here eat an egg that's been sitting, cooked, on the counter for 8 hours? No? Well how about being kept body temp warm for those 8 hours? So picture the egg sitting in sunlight for hour upon hour, why the hell would you eat such a thing? Actually lizi, hard-boiled eggs can be surprisingly stable. Now I'm not just talking out of my egg hole. (Sorry, really a groaner there, but I couldn't resist!) There was actually a study done! The abstract --> http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/575006 For those unfamiliar with Celsius, 4 degrees is the ideal refrigerated temperature, whereas around 20 to 22 is room temperature and body temperature is 37 degrees. More egg science. Based on these references, I would think 8 hours up the rectum wouldn't rot them, but they would definitely be on their way to ripeness. :D Whilst researching the hardiness of hard-boiled eggs, I did come across another idea. Frozen hard-boiled eggs. I would think those would provide even more entertainment. :D Since I'm on the topic of fermenting food...I have another web site to share. I realize this is off-topic, but there is a relationship in that it's funny in a twisted way. http://www.stinkymeat.net/
