Hey Nursey....Hope you are feelin better....

Minxy, Cherry Vodka and Red Bull is good too.....I have also heard from a gorgeous woman that Vanilla Stoli and Ginger Ale is pretty good too.

And you always have to get a little nostalgic when you have the Ramen noodles.

Well how else do you get a meal for ten cents?!  If only it didnt leave an extra ten pounts on your hips!

oh btw, thanks for the jager craving.....and I thought I was going to put off a trip to the store. Crap.

OK, for you folks wanting the Jäger, the chilled tap is up on the bar. Please help yourself. The mixers, if you'd like are behind the bar. I'd opt for the new stock on the shelf if it were me; sci left the rot-gut behind in the speed racks. ;-)

ng... I'm sorry for your ordeals with the migraine pain. As a chronic migraineur, I understand all too well the trials that we sometimes have to deal with when it comes to pain relief. I am shocked, though, that the ERs would opt for that nasty medicinal cocktail instead of choosing the simplest, most effective pain treatment at their disposal.

For those of you who don't deal with the intense pain of migraines, sometimes narcotics are the simplest way of providing immediate relief. But, the initial treatment needs to be followed up with a more precise preventative medication (sometimes a cocktail of various drugs) to be administered soon after the initial treatment. I've been on the receiving end of the kind of cocktail that ng received and after three or four such administrations, I've flat out refused that type of medication as an acute; particularly when it's had no effect on my pain and contributed to all those side effects. Believe me, the side effects can be more debilitating than the migraine.

It's bad enough trying to deal with migraines. I cannot imagine how much more aggravating it is to have migraines while trying to provide care to your daughter. My heart and warmest wishes go out to you nursygirl.

thanks sappa .... it has been very difficult gfowing up with these as my father never had a headache in his life.  My neurologist put me on birth control pills at 14 - my dad flipped.  The one and only time I was free was while I was pregnant and the nursing my son - they stayed away until he was completely weaned.

Then I got pregnant with my girl and the world went to hell.........................................

editied because my nails are too long and I need a manicure

Yes, I just suffered thru a mere 3 day one.  When the wind picks up and kicks the dust in the air my sinuses go mad. The red wine the night before didnt help. (usually ok, but with the wind it just rocked me) Then its ice packs and pain pills trying to fight it off.  Eventually its submitting to the pain and finding the darkest room in the house, more ice and praying it doesnt last more than a few days.
What a horrible existance when we pray our pain only lasts "a few days!"

I hear ya Minxy. In my case, my migraines have evolved into chronic status, going into the complex/TIA/stroke realm. I'm quite thrilled when I have two days a month when I'm feeling no fogginess or pain. It's like a death sentence has been commuted for those days.

Today is one of those days. Woot!
