I hate it when, in the midst of negotiations and choosing a day to meet, someone who has been going on and on about how sensation-focused he is, and not into extreme pain, suddenly decides that I'm too much of a lightweight in the pain department for him. And by suddenly, I mean a complete about-face in the space of 30 seconds. WTF?

I fucking give up.

Special hugs to you Aynne ..... this group of people are pretty amazing aren't they... smiles.

Kali it sounds like your colleague is someone who has minimal empathy and little connection with her clients and colleagues.

I hope there is someone that you can debrief with, remember that you may experience waves of grief..... you are grieving for the loss of this young man just as his family and friends are. Be gentle on yourself, if possible cut down on your workload for a bit, make sure you are getting lots of sleep, eating healthily, getting some fresh air etc. Look after yourself and know that you did everything that you could.... you were someone who listened, truly listened to him. That is something to be proud of. Sadly, especially in this line of work this isn't enough for someone.

I hate it when I wake up in a sad, weepy mood and had a crappy night's sleep..... Anyone else have this happen?

Linnea..everyone has a bad day from time to time..hang in there, take a deep breath, hug the stuffins out of he furbabies and plunge back in renewed.

Cali..I used to get letters from "Doms" who would say I would love to own someone like you, but I know I can't meet your pain levels..WTF? Do NOT give up..the right Dom is out there searching for you, you just have to kiss an awful lot of toads to find him. Relax and let it happen..that's how most of us are found, when we are walking down a path, trip and kick over a rock and there he is..the Toad ..puckered up sitting on a suitcase of toys and a dedicated need for YOU and only You.

Rain..woke up most of November and part of October that way..dreams, even restless ones can leave a mark on our moods.

I hate when my partner and I have a rather ugly argument (everything is fine, that's how we get things settled and figured out, it's worked for 14 years, must be doing something right), at 3am, and it worries the pet and secondary partner... >.< They are still adjusting in many ways, and it worries them. I mean, I understand why it would, looking at it objectively, but again, it works for us. I just wish there was some way to get them to understand that, just because the two of us have a fight, it doesn't mean the world around them is falling apart. I hate seeing them upset like that...

Now for he related I hate.....I hate that I went to my crazy dr and told him SAD was kicking my ass along with the loss of Pye and not getting a full night sleep despite being on a sleeping schedule which is the most restoritive and recoperative time.. I can get to sleep easy enough but anything after 2 is a crap shoot, I just lay there things about everything in the world that is bothering me.

This is the one that gave me d-amphetamine to pep me up and I didnt sleep at all as it was extended and I was blowing and going and gritting my teeth the whole time.

He usually does a decent job and listens to what I have found that works and doesnt work. But then again he works are as a medical director for a huge rehab and nursing home and see me when I need meds. I have yet to get a bill the whole 9 months I have been going to see him.....so go broke since medicare only pays 50 percent and I have to the good ol deductible to pay down... or just deal with the sleeping problem. Cant win for losing. I hte being dependant on all this. Can wait to Feb or after as SAD should start letting go of its grip.

Ugh I need a vacation, that usually does the trick.

I hate it when I am so sick that I can't even sleep. I have been up since 2:30 AM after only a couple hours of restless sleep. This is the third day now and I hate it.

Have you looked into getting a "sun lamp" that is what I use to combat SAD... about 15 min with the lamp a day and at least the same amount of fresh air and and SAD's does not hit me very much any more.

And when the sun does not come up till around 9am and sets at 4:30 pm it can hit pretty hard up here.

yes I do use a sun lamp, from my last test my Vit D level was critically low so am on a pretty high dose of it. Average count (not sure the unit measure was 15 where I think 40-50 is average. Which is a physical symptom because of the on and off agoraphobia phases, Most days I just cant bring myself to get out.

The light thing is so true... just remember not to fall asleep under it, the light has to get to your brain via the retina! :) I don't have SAD (or else, everyone in SE Michigan does and I don't notice?) but I work on getting in natural light for at least 15 min a day before entering my windowless office.
