Agreed with LadyLynx.

Submission is indeed a great gift (IMHO!). My lady's given that to me, and the reason I wander these boards (and read some VERY interesting comments) is to hopefully find out enough about 'the scene' to be worthy of it.

Dominance is also a great gift. OP and others are right in saying it takes tremendous energy to try and lead a scene, let alone anything beyond that.

However, that's about where my agreement with OP starts to fade. There's no one way to do things. There's no one way to use TERMS. One person's idea of dominance might be another's idea of rough play, and a third's of 'service topping.' If there's anything I've learned here of exceptional value, it's that there are no absolutes. Go with what works for you and your partner and don't worry too much elsewise.

I will now duck out of the way for the screaming hordes who want to deal with OP more sternly.
