I am such a sci-fi geek. I love the idea! Chip me in, put Borg implants in me, outfit me with an implanted zapper, whatever ... I'd love it! ::laughs::

I know from my standpoint, I have always loved the thought of pet tagging. Reading this post thread just filled my head with new ideas.

Imagine the availability of making kidnap scenes a reality when your dominant knows when you are coming around every corner. :] Just filled my day with smiles.

"if he said: his eventual goal was to GPS his submissive" I would be more at ease...

but for him to say: "if you were my sub i would put a GPS on you" i would run for the hills!

My g/f's master has the parenting option on her cellphone.

even she is not sure how often he uses it... but has only called her on it a few times in many years. she is his property though. and she does find it Hot! She also agreed to it within their contract.

as with anything it comes down to the trust and relationship you have.

fast reply~ Okay .. i hate to admit..this sounds hot to me too! From the first chat tho? Ick. Ide probubly run for the hills. But in general...I like the idea of having a chip on a vanilla collar, or a shoe. Not sure about inplanted in self. What if the situation goes bad - then you can a permant stalker in place. But the chip in general..makes a girl feel like treasured property. You do the same for your non human pet or car. Just know that ones Owner could and make check up on them - may help keep a girl in the proper mindset, and always with some thoughts to her Owner..is never a bad thing either.

Ok ...as an Owner you might be able to track your girl..but would you hhandle? Wouldn't you sit there with your reciever and watch her drive and walk around in uknown places...and drive your self nuts? Getting pissed at her when she arrives home...asking where she was....and when you calm down..afther 4 hours fight..she said...it was the post office.

Fast Reply to no one in particular....

There is already a GPS chip included in every cell phone, and since most people already carry one everywhere they go they're already able to be tracked.  And the service is free of charge...

I don't know how I'd feel about the chip in my body, but on a necklace I don't see a problem. I have nothing to hide, if I've given myself to him then why shouldn't he know where I am? Like I said, to Him, my life is an open book, granted one that isn't terribly interesting, but nonetheless...

i was chatting with a guy - first chat - He told me that if i was His sub/slave, He would want to put a GPS chip in my body or at least in a necklace for me to wear.

i said no that this smacks of lack of trust to me.  and then i wished Him good luck on His search, and i was glad that we found out early that we wouldnt be compatible... Frankly, the question made me wonder about His ability to be a Dom...and then i wondered if it wouldnt just be another way to humiliate or control me.... and then, my head started spinning.

Anyway, what is Your opinion about GPS chips... would You use them?  if so, why? when

The "it smacks of lack of trust" argument has been deconstructed and turned around before. Your suspicion of him having devious intentions for the GPS unit can just as easily be interpreted as a lack of trust. Furthermore, defensive refusal to don at least a pendant can be construed as untrustworthiness (since someone not seeking to deceive their partner would conceivably not have an issue with being always 'seen'). See how fun these knee-jerk presumptions can get?

With that out of the way, it's mostly a novelty item, I think. It's not as if most subs would have any problem if their D-type demanded consistent updates via phone/text/e-mail as to where they are and what they're doing. Some people are more comfortable with different variations of micromanagement than others.

I'm sure some subs would actually find a certain bit of comfort in it: the feeling that they have their D-type always looking over them, protective.

Personally, I don't know how I'd feel about any subdermal implant, but having a pendant with a tracking mechanism in it would be kinda nifty.

It doesn't necessarily smack of lack of trust.  However, if someone brought up tagging me with a GPS tracker within a few hours of talking to me, I would consider them a HNG.

If my Dominant put a GPS tracker on me after a week of being together, it might have made me question his trust.  But at this point, deeper into the relationship, I am comfortable with almost anything and even find the idea kind of hot.

I've read a lot of threads about subs being deeply offended by doms not being honest about what they were into and springing it on the sub well into the relationship. Personally I had the "so what are you into" conversation with my sub on our first date. The big red flag for me is that implantable GPS doesn't actually exist which makes me think he is just a cyber fantasy sort of person.

I've heard of one case of this sort of practice. I was listening to an internet radio show called chastity chat and a femdomme couple called in. His car was setup with some sort of GPS tracking system and his Mistress had given some of their femdomme friends access to it (alleviating the management issue). He had restrictions on where he could go, if he was on a diet he'd get in trouble for stopping at Dunkin Donuts sort of thing. At least with them it seemed to be a humiliation/control sort of thing.

Doh! old thread, and I was really getting into it <sigh>

It may be an old thread but it is still a current issue and I have found it interesting, especially in view of the way the British are rejecting tagging while those in the USA already have tagged passports and are beginning to put RFID into their children.

FR,

havent read through all of this, but im with the people who say that this isnt any big deal in my book.

its just an ownership kick, like branding and tatting ownership on youre sub/slave.

it isnt necessarily about trust, it might be, but its more likely all about control and the kick of knowing when youre property is shopping for groceries, walking the dog, visiting g/f, checking in on mum and dad -

beats having to write a diary every day  - makes you realise how predictable and boring youre life is every bloody day.

I still think it's funny how many subs first response was "Great, he can give me directions when I get lost".

They make shoes for Alzheimers patients that have the RF chip in them, this way if they get picked up disoriented and wandering about, the hospital can easily identify them.

FR

When I had my brain tumour removed Master asked the consultant if there was now room in my head to get some chips put in. He thought a GPS, a memory chip and a language translator would be useful. The Neurosurgeon nearly fell off his chair laughing.
