One obvious difference is that prostitution is illegal. It's also more expensive than maid service.

It doesn't neccesarily mean that they won't do more fun things with the sub-they just want someone who will contribute more than cum stains on the carpet to the household..

I think you are reading to literally some profiles. Some people might want to tailor their profile to just attract domestic servants.

Status: offline 		I don't care how they dress, or don't dress.  Clothed, naked, whatever, if they want to come clean my house twice a week with no play otherwise, I would love to have two or three people around.  For some (only in my opinion) I think this is their idea of play.  Having someone watch them as they go about daily chores dressed, undressed, fetish dressed....it is fine with me.

That's my situation. I'd prefer a sub who enjoyed service and also loved to play and enjoyed fetish events than a service only sub.

Some people their idea of service it to clean and take care of someones elses house.  If it makes them happy no harm no foul.

Status: offline 		some folks get a LOT of satisfaction, (and not the sexual, kink-filled, brink of orgasm kind, mind you) out of doing things for other folks, especially things that the other folks are either unable or find distasteful and would have to PAY pretty much anyone else to do.
 
it's referred to as many things, positive or negative depending on your own personal perspective: no-strings housework, volunteering, charity, "the Lord's work", a calling, community service, slavery, cheap labor, etc.
 
others, just totally get all hot and wet and bothered over it, on both sides of the slash.
 
some do both.
