If I say I was a lazy bum at one point in my life, I think most people would think in terms of months or longer, not hours.

The brackets indicate paraphrasing; in this case, to include connotation. I did deserve it; I was acting like a man whore that afternoon. Just, you made a mistake to assume that this was representative of my entire lifestyle. I had hoped "at that point" would've indicated the transitory nature of such as status's validity.

I've never heard the phrase "at that point" used to talk about anything shorter than a few months, nor do I think the phrase really applies for the extremely short period of time you are talking about.

For the record, I was the one who stated that. But I am in total agreement with AquaticSub. It is my opinion that you purposely omitted the facts that would have made your intended point more clearly. Therefore I contend that you did this to create the affect you have, in which all the attention of this thread has been directed towards you. This also probably is not the first time you have attempted this. (just a guess) So I feel because of that, IMO you are an attention whore, and a whore is after all still a whore.
