I am a 22 year old Dom. You talk about wisdom and life experience. I am more mature than most men in there 30s. There are people born with a Dominant personality. It is not a choice for them it is just natural.

I find it hard to understand how one so young could have the understanding, wisdom and life experiance which is needed to be a Master.

From what age do you take them serious?

Thanks for your answers.

The exact same way that a submissive can be a 19 year old girl....

What right does any one have to judge?

We all started some where...and we werent always old when we did it.

Frankly, Im glad to see younger people getting into the life style, just because I know then that it wont die out like so many other things in our cultures.

I was 16 when I first got interested in BDSM and at that point, those 21 yr old Masters were lookin' good to me ...

Its all relative. Now that I'm 26, I'm more interested in guys in their 30s and 40s. I still take those 20-somethings seriously though ...

Blah, forgove my blantent distaste for this conversation Ive just finished a 3 day long argument over this, so GoddezzT, this is just my personal beef and nothing towards you respectively.

My Dom is 25, Im 22 come the 19th. He gives me what I need from our relationship, I give him what he needs in return. Im not saying anyone has said this yet, but Im makeing my stand and my point right now.

We're both young, yes in the years we have been on this earth is pratically the blink of an eye. But in our short lifetimes we have both learned alot, traveled alot, seen a bit of the way this life supposedly "works" And this is the aspect we have chosen of the exsistence to express ourselves and feelings and impulses in. BDSM is OUR lifestyle,we live for this, its what we do. There is nothing more special then the times we come together. I never feel more alive then when I am with and submitting to him. And the same goes for his role towards me. Even our year and half long seperation never changed that.  Yes We are always learning, watching and experienceing new things. New situations, new people, everything. As ALL people do reguardless of age. We infact look forward to the many many more years we have on this earth together. We may not be together the rest of ourlives, but we have each other for this space of time, and we can be finally be ourselves, no pretenses, no fronts, no acting. We are Us respectively during our scenes. And nothing, not age, not religion, or our positions in life can change what We have together. This is my stand and my promise to him, My and His age have nothing to do with WIIWD, And I am his, and he is mine and thats all there needs to be.

~FR~

Age is no guide to dominance. Skill, perhaps, breadth of horizon, perhaps, but not whether or not they are or are not dominant, or are or are not a Master. Likewise, age is no guide to submission or slavery. It's not the length of time that has passed, but the amount of growth that has occurred in that time.

Six.

Edited to clarify: Being dominant or a Master is not something that has anything to do with time, it's a personality trait. It either exists or it does not, to a lesser or greater degree. It's the quality of the dominant I'm referring to above.

I disagree. When I first came on this site, I wasn't even paying attention to guys my age. I wanted the supposed "experience" that comes with age.

Goddess,

I agree with you. In my opinion, at least 40 to provide the range of experience and other factor that makes a successful D.

The question answers itself.  If the question is made, then why waste your time with a 21 year old.  The truest sense of Master is in essense, not age.  Though I would like to believe an older Dom and  younger sub have a primal setup which may faciliate the relationship.

Lets look at this a different way.  If the person asking the question is  young as well....then maybe she or he does not feel the other is a Master.  So why bother.  See, it is not all of that!

You guys are seriously responding to someone who had a misspelled signature line for a long time and who regularly uses the term "chucklz"?

I believe English is a second language for her... so when I learn to write in Dutch as well as she writes in English, I will judge her

Be that as it may, it actually takes longer to learn "slang" and commonly used abbreviations of words than it does textbook English

If you discover your interest in BDSM at 30 you have no more experiance than someone who discovers it at 18 age is a number, it is the mentality that is important.
