From the age they started to take -themselves- seriously and gained the experience they needed to qualify themselves as a master. Who am I to say who is too young to be a master?.

I haven't read every single post, so this may just be echoing someone else, but I find it's not so much age that's important as is cultural reference. At 41, I'm going to have a bit different life experience, lingo, and outlook to those further and further in age from myself (especially younger). It's not impossible.... there's obviously going to be some subculutures that would be similar enough (I have a strong attraction to the Amish, other than the religious part). So, for me, age isn't a really huge consideration, but it'd mean we'd most likely have less common ground.

It's been shown to me over and over, you can be 40, 50, 60, and older and still be totally immature. LOL So, age does NOT particularly mean maturity or wisdom. Wisdom is acquired by observation, questioning, and perseverance; it doesn't happen by osmosis.

I could also understand, because of the cultural reference, someone much younger than me would prefer someone more their own age. They would view, and have different definitions of: maturity, wisdom, responsibility, etc.

My Dom is younger than me, but he's also a decade more mature. Like others have said, some are just more mature than others, even if they lack experience. I think even the oldest people have their immature moments and really, as long as a Dom/me works for you, what does it matter how old they are?

Age has very little to do with experience and wisdom. And judging from your post, you seem to lack both. No offense. I just think it's very immature to judge other people based on age when they're adults. The BDSM lifestyle is a very individual thing I feel, and no one person should tell another that they're wrong as long as they're following the rules of safe, sane, and consensual.

How can a 21 year old POSSIBLY be a master...sorry but the phrasing of the question is clearly condescending and if you can't see that then you lack clarity.

Look at LA, she is what, 27? She would make a better dominant than most here, certainly better than have been until quite recently and I am almost twice her age.

Sure, some are arrogant ignorant nitwits but based on the threads here, that doesn't seem limited to youth. Besides, what a 22 year old girl looks for and what an older more mature woman seeks are often two very different things.

Bottom line, there is a place for everyone.

17 pages later, and NOW you fix the problem. I will expect much quicker solutions in the future, or else.

If "possibly" had been part of the original post, I might have approached this a bit differently. It Is possible for a 21 year old to be a Master (in my view), but it would be a rare event, for the reasons I've already stated in previous posts.

Perhaps she would be, but it is still an opinion. With out using her name more, as you said yourself...there is some one for every one.

Years ago, to become a Master, you first had to be a slave. It was a long, trying expereience. You were a slave in every aspect. It was thought that a Master should have personally experienced any command that he would ever give a slave he would own. He was humiliated as any slave can be, he was whipped, and endured any other punishment he might pass out in his future as Master. They believed if he had personally experienced what he was able to deal his slave, it would tend to make him think more of the slave, then of his anger at the present, and curtail his wrath at the moment. There was no set age to get into training, and there was no set age you became a Master. It was the importance of the slave that mattered. It was thought then, and I believe it still today. To see the slave is to see her Master. For she alone mirrors his experience and abilities. Age has nothing to do with it now. It used to, but not anymore. The lifestyle isn't what it used to be, much has changed. For better or worse, I don't know, I just watch and try not to judge. May all that you are, be true to your heart.
