Seeing as the Girls and boys are having their fun in another thread, I though that perhaps the Boys and girls might have a bit of fun here.

So fellow Master/Dom/Top/Lord/Free-Person type, what skills would set your heart racing? Do you want her to be able to knit an afghan out of a cherry stem with her tongue? Do you want her to know how to change your oil? Would you like her to be able to hot wire a Corvette in under 60 seconds?

The skills I would want from the young lady is to be a good cook and able to suck a ping pong ball through a 12 ft hose. I think those skills would be what would set my heart a fluttering :) Very good thread It gets me to think about it. ScorpioMaster

Here in of course lies the differences.......As a man, even a submissive one, i can see and understand the tangible qualities of the male mind. Specific measurable, quantitiative, attainable skills...(Note I did not say realistic ).
It also seems as if female Mistress' are more demanding on their submissives than male Dominants are...I could be wrong just an observation.
I once met a female dominant who's perspective was there was no difference between a male domiant and a submissive....her point was a submissive male makes his Mistres cum as many times as she wants and a Dominant male ties up his submissive and makes her cum as many times as he can....naive i know but amusing

Hello,

Having given this some thought, I wanted to throw my $0.02 cents in. The problem I am running in to is the title of the thread; I dont necessarily want skills per se, I want things which are more intangible.

1) When I am with a good dance partner, she follows my lead and we make poetry together. I want this in a submissive; she follows my lead and we make poetry together.

2) I want a woman who is assertive, speaks her mind, is articulate and literate, and able to hold her side of a conversation up.

3) I want her to say no when she means no, and yes when she means yes, and to articulate uncertainty if she is uncertain.

I may come up with more, but there ya go.

Yes!! I most definitely would.

Taggard... I hope you don't mind commenting on this :p I was looking for the Girl on girl thread.. didn't seem to find it ;)

So in terms of submissive girls, I like her to be whip smart and sassy. I like a girl with a lot of self-confidence and good self-esteem. I like her to be ambitious and well read, open minded and opinionated. I also require for her to be respectful and kind.

All of this makes it all the more lovely to have her submit to me.

I like her to be feminine (this is my personal preference) and embrace her femininity. I like a girl who feels sexy in heels, lingerie & fetishware, just as I do. I also like a girl who has an exhibitionist side to her. Ok, this is not so much a skill as a predisposition, but then again, ever see the amount of time we girlie girls need to put in to get all dolled up? It's an art!

I am as equally hard on male and female subs.

I wonder now if Dyke Dominas on their subs are harder on their hetero counterparts? And what about Transsexual Dominants, how tough are those? And...

Never mind. Gender and sexual orientation dichotomization always makes things way too black & white. I need a bit more grey.

Once upon a time, while getting ready to go out someplace fancy( I remember I was wearing my tux, but can't recall where we went), I got out of the shower to find the girl standing by the desk, and crooking a finger at me. I walked over, and sat in the chair as indicated, and she gave me a hot towel, hot lather, striaght razor shave. ( -I just remembered- we were going to the Rainbow Room for her Birthday)

That was wonderful, and she did it after that from time to time, usually when I was taking a tub -working outdoors in the NE all year round makes a hot bath a real pleasure.

I don't allow a slave/ sub/ whatever to cook for me most of the time, nor to clean my kitchen. A friend (A slave but not my slave) once washed and waxed my bike, naked, after I had helped her and her M. out with something. They called me to come over for dinner, and while he and I were having a glass of wine, I glanced out the window and shot a nice merlot out my nose and all over my host with my first taste. It was a '85 Simi as I recall, a tad thin, I thought.

Hand massages are a sweet thing that can be done anywhere, anytime. And if she's a Chiroprator, I'd likely try to marry her.

I do most of my own mending, but a girl that can reverse a collar on a favorite shirt is a good thing. I'd like to know she could change her own oil, and do some basic maintance/repairs around the house with out having to hand me a 'honeydo-' list. Hello,

One of the valuable life skills we teach in our class. I know quite a few women
who are very good this way, but since I dont date co-workers and they are mostly
assistants and instructers, they are on my do not get involved with list.

I think I will reply to myself now...

I'd love a girl who had something to teach me. Something esoteric and complex. Something she mastered and I had only dabled in.

I'd love a girl who could read as fast as I can and wasn't constantly 5 books behind me in any series.

I'd love a girl who could battle with words with me, debate me, and beat me with my own words.

I don't think there are any skills per say I would want my slaves to have. The only thing i would hope for,is that they open to all things. It has been my experience that even slaves who start out not interested in a certain topic, or completely turned off by a certain topic, at some point because more suseptable to an idea.

As the relationship between a master and a slave develop, the slave learns to trust the master. She learns to depend on him and put more and more faith in him. As time goes on she lays so much faith in him that she begins to trust that he would not hurt or in any way damage her. Often this thought changes the view of the slave and allows her to do things she before couldn't or couldn't try.

If you can find slaves with this quality, there truely is nothing taboo except what you, the master, deem to be taboo. In my opinion this is a perfect trait in a slave, and the only one that matters. The duties any one slave can perform are irrelavent in my life, as if one slave can't do what you expect get another slave that can. Having a multiple slave relationship may have something to do with my oppinion so don't hold it against me.

On a similiar rather ammusing note, I was reading some of the personals of new members today and ran across a rather ammusing one related sorta to this topic. It was by a slave who said "The Master I chose must be able to spell because my master is supposed to be superious and if he can't even spell then he isn't superior". What the hell? Sorry had to get that out.

Hello,

I personally think cats should be standard issue in Dom boot camp.

There is not a living creature that can teach a person more about being Dominant
in a relationship than a cat. It lets you know when you should feed it. It climbs into
your lap when it wants attention. It ignores you and wont give you the time of day
unless it feels like it.

Of course, I used to give my daughter's cat a bath. A 16 pound neutered male who hated baths. I have scars. Did this stop me? No. I was going to prove to this
cat who was higher on the food chain if it killed me :) After a nice long bath to get him all shiny, a few hours for him to sulk, and dinner, he would climb into my lap and start purring as I rubbed him behind the ears.

I would have cats, but I hate the smell of a litterbox and I dont live in a place I can put in a cat door.
