I just can't believe they left the 4th part of that joke out... the Quaker response to an attacker.

How do you know yer`a redneck?

You mow the front lawn and find a car.

Interesting and poignant side note.

Okay, I acknowledge that you DO have a healthy sense of humor.  :-)

My favorite is (thank you, Mr. Foxworthy)

"If you shoot your car from the couch on your front porch, you may be a redneck."

Where do you start trying to figure out all the things wrong with that sentence?

  Or the 5th.

The neo-conservative reaction.

~~

He would wait until his family was shot dead , then let the guy go and blame it on the "fog of war".

The neo-con would find out who the teer-er-st killer was and then he would attack the killer`s neighbor, but only after tricking  his friends into attacking the killer`s neighbor too.Screwing his friends in the process too.

This is soooo funny.Yuk-yuk.

Then the neo-con would stay at the neighbor`s house and abuse his family until the world looked at neo-cons as badly as they do Islamic Terrorists killers.

Funny how these sort of threads get to run when they attack conservatives, but vanish mighty fast when they are about liberals.  Just sayin'.

Yeah.  Kinda like how all the Christian and Bible bashing threads are so well-loved but looking down one's nose at other faiths/belief systems or lack thereof is considered very distasteful and anti-intellectual.  Also, the "white trash" hatin' threads are a giggly hoot.  Try deriding another racial group with hatred and jokes and you have stepped over the line.  So many double standards.  It's easy to see the groups that are still "fair game" to pick on...............luci

It's because us lefties have a sense of humor...Usually a fairly strong self deprecating group on the whole. How many right wing comedians that are actually funny? Dennis Miller..kind of?

It's fun to poke fun at people that can't take a joke. Where their views are life and death....Who routinely hold others up to a light that they could never bask in themselves.

We are all hypocrites...It is just the matter of degrees that makes it funny.

Not for nothing luci, the childish gun/southerner/redneck humor was a hijack .

The op humor wasn`t meant to demean and doesn`t.

I agree that religion/culture bashing isn`t so friendly and not a very good side of people, here and everywhere else.

Do you have a particular anti-liberal thread in mind that vanished, Rich?

Found a few that seem to have survived:

Why are liberals stingy when it comes to personal charity?

Ending The Culture of Corruption, Democrat-style

At first I thought this was funny... Then, I realized "How True it is!!"

Exactly Where I Suspected Global Warming Was Going ...

Why are conservatives happier than liberals?

Liberalism - Philosophy of Intolerance?

I'm too lazy to post more (and don't know how LA does this on a regular basis!), but you get the idea.

That's bullshit, DG.  Catch Jon Stewart cracking on liberals sometime, and listen to the audience boo him for it.

There is a great email floating around the conservative spectrum, DC, detailing a bunch of contradictory beliefs that would be considered liberal.  Some of it was a bit too fundy for my taste, but it was a real thinker on some other points.  Poof, every time.

I had one vanish from under my reply about two days ago.

Makes me shake my head a bit, and find different ways to approach the topics.  I'm stubborn that way.

I understand how you feel...I feel your pain my brothah. But there has to be something in the DNA that does cause some different characteristics between the two groups...We really need each other. No one likes to admit it. (about to go into total stereotyping mode) Not too many type "A" liberals...Conservatives don't have a good sense of humor...Black people can't swim.

"I'm stubborn that way."

Or paranoid....

Does this mean you conservatives will no longer be cwying about how unfair the Daily Show is to you?

Doubt it.
